Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCorrelating and Modeling of Extracted Features from PVT Images of Composites using Optical Flow Technique and Weight Elimination Algorithm Optimization [OFT-WEA]Mahmoud Zaki IskandaraniA new approach to the use and implementation of Optical Flow technique is presented. The technique extracts features from presented images as a function of reference image and produces percentage of matching between the reference and tested images. The new approach in using Optical Flow lies in replacing the motion part of the algorithm with differential time related changes in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 9 · 29 Sep 2017 · 7,320 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMyocardial Motion Analysis of Echocardiography Images using Optical Flow Radial Direction DistributionSlamet Riyadi, Mohd Marzuki Mustafa, Aini HussainProblem statement: Myocardial motion is important information for physicians in diagnosing cardiac abnormalities. The motion vector of myocardial can be computed using optical flow technique, which then can be further analyzed based on its magnitude and angle. In practice, physicians are not concern about the angle of vector itself, but are more interested on whether a segment is moving to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 6,635 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleWarped Optical-Flow Inter-Frame Reconstruction for Ultrasound Image EnhancementBalza Achmad, Mohd Marzuki Mustafa, Aini HussainProblem statement: Optical flow inter-frame enhancement is one of the techniques to improve the quality of ultrasound images by reducing the speckle noise. The performance depends on accuracy of the optical flow inter-frame reconstruction which is a part of the technique. The speckle noise of an ultrasound image forms certain pattern, of which size of the speckle varies depends on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 6 Aug 2011 · 7,212 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA VISION-BASED TRAVELLED DISTANCE ESTIMATION ALGORITHM IN AN INDOOR ENVIRONMENT USING A MOBILE ROBOTMamadou Diop, Chot Hun Lim, Tien Sze Lim, Lee-Yeng OngAutonomous navigation for a mobile robot still remains as a challenging area to be explored. In an indoor environment, while GPS is unavailable and wheel encoder suffer from error accumulation due to wheel slips, vision-based travelled distance estimation can be considered as an alternative approach for more accurate measurements. This study presents a new algorithm to estimate travelled distance of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 26 Dec 2014 · 8,700 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProcessability of Bulk Metallic GlassesRaffaella Aversa, Daniela Parcesepe, Relly Victoria V. Petrescu et al.Microfluidic Shear Flow Instabilities in Injection Molded Glassy Metal are investigated. The formation of microfluidic shear flows instabilities involving the presence of different viscosities fluids has been observed in injection molded Bulk Metallic Glasses. The complex rheology of injection molded metastable glassy metal, which has been hypothesized to induce selective clustering of atoms of different steric hindrance, is discussed. Smaller … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 15 Feb 2017 · 7,487 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA COMPARISION OF VARIOUS EDGE DETECTION TECHNIQUES IN MOTION PICTURE FOR IDENTIFYING A SHARK FISHShrivakshan Gopal Thiruvangadan, Chelliah ChandrasekarThe significant feature of detecting the motion image objects in this study it try identify the shark fish videos by removing the Background of the image. The main method involved in the detecting from the background is the foreground detection of the image. There are many techniques which usually ignore the fact that the background images consist of different image … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 18 Sep 2013 · 6,691 accessesView PDFCite
