Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMasterpiece Optimization Algorithm-Based Priority-Aware Load Balancing Strategy for Cloud Data CentersS Vijaykumar, Shanker ChandreCloud Computing (CC) is one of the widely used technologies due to its advanced features such as pay-per-use, scalability, and flexibility. The primary objective of CC is to allow users to access and purchase cloud services that are on demand through internet-based applications. Efficient load-balancing in the cloud faces challenges of high-dimensional state spaces and scalability with increasing tasks. To … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 7 · 30 Jul 2026 · 777 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrating Lowest Priority Approach with Largest Point Scheme for Faster Feasibility AnalysisNasro Min-AllahRecently many solutions have been proposed to lower the computational cost of feasibility analysis for real-time systems. The computational cost of feasibility tests can be lowered by strategies such as lowering the number of scheduling points needed during analysis, starting feasibility analysis from lowest priority, or starting schedulability tests for a task with larger scheduling point. All these techniques significantly … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 4 · 26 Apr 2019 · 7,247 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Approach to Develop a Dynamic Job Shop Scheduling by Fuzzy Rule Based System and Comparative Study with the Traditional Priority RulesRamin Ahmed, Md. Muzahid Khan, Md. Hasibul Haque, Md. Hasibur RahmanThis paper aims at developing a dynamic job shop scheduling by establishing fuzzy rule based system and comparing its effectiveness with the traditional priority rules. In order to understand the priorities of different jobs in a job shop, the paper investigates all the contributing criteria of different parameters. Since the traditional priority rules only emphasis on a single parameter at … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 11 Feb 2016 · 8,365 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEfficient Scheduling of Packets in Wireless Sensor Networks Using Priority Based Scheduling ApproachB. Booba, T.V. GopalThe packet scheduling is essential and plays an important role to sense the element nodes with resource constraints in Wireless Networks. The packet scheduling scheme also scale the energy consumption and end-to-end information transmission delay in time period and non-real-time information packets during wireless transmission. The proposed Priority based Packet Scheduling (PPS) technique has a tendency to overcome the issues … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 9 Aug 2014 · 7,091 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFully Retroactive Priority Queues using Persistent Binary Search TreesJoseWagner de Andrade Junior, Rodrigo Duarte SeabraClassic dynamic data structures maintains itself subject to sequence S of operations and answer queries using the latest version of the data structure. Retroactive data structures are those which allow making a modification or a query in any version of this data structure through its timeline. These data structures are used in some geometric problems and in problems related with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 7 · 14 Jul 2020 · 7,006 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePsychological Acceptability Weighted Priority Scheduling: A Case Study of Animal HospitalKitsiri Chochiang, Araya Choothong, Prakasit Intarasombat et al.A solution to the patient scheduling problem for a case study animal hospital called Mix+Factor scheduling is proposed in this work. Mix scheduling is based on the weighted sum of patient arrival order, the job type and the priority. The priority is based on the veterinarian opinion on the treatment type. Factor is an additional function based on the psychological … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 7 · 26 Jul 2019 · 7,892 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePriority Based Congestion Detection and Avoidance in Wireless Sensor NetworksR. Beulah Jayakumari, V. Jawahar SenthilkumarThe primary objective of event driven wireless sensor networks is to route the detected or monitored data at the earliest to the base station depending on their degree of priority since the data generated in a sensor network has different importance. In order to avoid indiscriminate dropping of data during congestion we propose a novel congestion protocol named priority based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 26 Apr 2013 · 6,732 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDevelopment of Priority Oriented Scheduling Method to Increase the Reliability of Manufacturing SystemsSeyedehfarzaneh Nojabaei, Z. Leman, S. H. Tang, S. SulaimanScheduling occurs in every organization without considering the nature of its activities. In this regard, numerous scholars have attempted to schedule via divergent methods including classical scheduling, genetic algorithm, neural network and fuzzy logic and so on. Studies in manufacturing scheduling mostly deal with priority rules without any consideration of the system states. An appropriate scheduling leads to significant enhancement … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 31 Jul 2012 · 7,015 accessesView PDFCite
