Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA COMBINED LOW LATENCY AND WEIGHTED FAIR QUEUING BASED SCHEDULING OF AN INPUT-QUEUED SWITCHK. Bommanna Raja, D. RaghupathikumarInput queuing has become dominant and popular building blocks for high speed crossbar switches with many ports and fast line rates because they require minimum speed-up of memory bandwidth. Input Queued switches with finite Virtual Output Queues guarantees QoS performance in terms of throughput and average delay. A switch performs two functions Queuing and Scheduling. Queue Management algorithm manages the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 25 Mar 2014 · 7,226 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOPTIMIZING BATCH REKEYING INTERVAL FOR SECURE GROUP COMMUNICATION BASED ON QUEUING MODELA. Vasanthi, T. PurusothamanRapid growth of Internet spawns many group oriented multicast applications like Internet pay TV, news dissemination and stock quote system. The fortes of these applications are the support of dynamic, scalable group membership and group members are geographically divergent. As members of the group move in and out, an imperative cryptographic rekeying model should be applied to preserve the confidentiality … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 20 Nov 2013 · 6,456 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Implementing Calls Prioritization with Different Queuing Disciplines in Mobile Wireless NetworksSalman A. AlQahtani, Nasser-Eddine RikliIt is known that efficient call handling mechanisms can greatly improve cellular network performance. One way to improve system performance of cellular network is to use efficient handover schemes when users changes between cells. This paper focuses on the performance evaluation of originating and handover calls prioritization using different queue size and discipline. Both calls will be queued until they … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,470 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCross-Layer Design for Combining Adaptive Modulation and Coding with DMMPP Queuing for Wireless NetworksManikandan Arunachalam, Naresh Kumar Babu, Anandan Perumal et al.Resource management and Quality of Service (QoS) are seen as key concerns for many applications in 5G networks since they support millions of linked devices. When sharing information over error-prone wireless networks, these resource management strategies are necessary to fulfill multimedia applications with a minimum throughput guarantee, low error probability, and high tolerated delay. One of the most complex traffic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 6 · 31 May 2023 · 5,419 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign and Simulation of an Input Queuing Packet SwitchAzeddine Bilami, Mustapha Lalam, Mohamed BenmohammedMany Architectures of Internet routers, ATM and Ethernet switches have been proposed and analysed in literature. Theoretically reliable and valid solutions have been developed to achieve high performances, but a lot of them are not feasible in practice for commercial and technological reasons. Few papers develop the implementation and simulation aspects. The objective of this study is the design of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 19 Sep 2005 · 6,926 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMODELLING THE SWITCHING LINK AND MATHEMATICAL OF ACTUAL TRAFFICAbed Saif AlghawliThe paper represents the research results of studying the switches. The model of a switching link has been suggested. The switch has been presented in the form of a Queuing System (QS), the study of dynamic characteristics of switches has been undertaken and the adequacy of the proposed model of a switching link to actual switches has been valued. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 20 Dec 2014 · 7,573 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Efficient Combined Call Admission Control and Scheduling Algorithm to Improve Quality of Service for Multimedia Services Over Next Generation Wireless NetworksG. Nantha Kumar, A. ArokiasamyWe nominate a weighted service queuing approach, each service queue is allotted a preset priority weight and Call Admission Control scheme for service classes defined in IEEE 802.16 standard. Different group of queues have been implemented to transmit different service classes. Allocation of bandwidth usage of each service classes are relying on maximum data that could take part in connection … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 20 Sep 2014 · 6,482 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsStateless Aggregate Fair Marking Scheduler for Differentiated Service NetworksNandhini Sivasubramaniam, Palaniammal SenniappanIn diffserv networks, as the traffic flows vary constantly, it is very difficult to maintain the per-flow state. The computation of rate information of the traffic flow also becomes complex. In this study, we propose a Stateless Aggregate Fair Marking (SAMQ) with Multiple Queue Priority Scheduler for Differentiated Service (DiffServ) networks. Initially, priority scheduler is applied to the flows entering … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 9 Feb 2013 · 7,510 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsNovel Mechanism Control Algorithm for Wired NetworkV. B. Kirubanand, S. PalaniammalProblem statement: A critical issue in wireless network where the data can hack by the person and we add a novel encryption mechanism to protect the data transfer from client to server and vice versa. Approach: We present a queuing model of a client and server that uses for bulk arrival service. The arrival of data requests is assumed to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 27 Jul 2011 · 6,651 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSelf-Managed Federation of MQTT Brokers with Dynamic Topology ControlBruno Bevilaqua, Marco Aurélio SpohnThe Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol is most used in Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The protocol implements the Publish/Subscribe (P/S) communication model. Publishers are entities providing data to a server (broker), and subscribers are those showing interest in such data. The standard MQTT scenario relies on a single broker, a potential bottleneck, and a single point of failure. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 11 · 18 Oct 2023 · 5,248 accessesView PDFCite
