Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe New Variable-Length Key Symmetric CryptosystemDavood Rezaei Pour, Mohamad Rushdan Md Said, Kamel Ariffin Mohd Atan, Mohamed OthmanProblem statement: In this study, we proposed a new 64-bit block cipher that accepted a variable-length key up to 512 bits, which was suitable for implementation in a variety of environments. Approach: The cipher algorithm was a 16-round Feistel network with a bijective function f and was made up of two key-dependent 16×16 S-boxes, bitwise rotations, and a carefully designed … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2009 · 7,217 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Complete Automation of Unit Testing for JavaScript ProgramsM. AlshraidehProblem statement: Program testing is expensive and labor intensive, often consuming more than half of the total development costs, and yet it is frequently not done well and the results are not always satisfactory. The objective of this paper is to present an automatic test data generation tool that aims to completely automate unit testing of JavaScript functions. The methodology: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,297 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsBiodegradation of 2, 4 DichlorophenolTaghreed Al-Khalid, Muftah H. El-NaasThe present study focuses on the optimization of process parameters of the aerobic biodegradation of 2, 4 Dichlorophenol (2, 4 DCP) by a commercial strain of P. putida immobilized in PVA gel matrix, using design of experiments by Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The degradation rates obtained from these experiments were used to evaluate the effects of the main factors and … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 12 Mar 2017 · 7,397 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMODEL BUILDING FOR AUTOCORRELATED PROCESS CONTROL: AN INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCEM. A. Djauhari, S. L. Lee, Z. IsmailWe show that many time series data are governed by Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM) law. This motivates us to propose a procedure of time series model building for autocorrelated process control that might consist of two steps. First, we test whether the process data are governed by GBM law. If it is affirmative, the appropriate model is directly given by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 6 · 29 Mar 2014 · 6,628 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsUSE OF CRUMB RUBBER TO IMPROVE THERMAL EFFICIENCY OF CEMENT-BASED MATERIALSAshraf Fadiel, Fouad Al Rifaie, Taher Abu-Lebdeh, Ellie FiniMotivated by the tremendous trend toward green environment and to reduce the effect of scrap tires on the environment and human health, this research is an attempt to find a practical and environmentally sound solution of the problem of scrap tires by developing a light weight with low thermal conductivity composite construction materials using waste tires. A few literatures may … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 14 Mar 2014 · 12,212 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsRobust Logistic Regression to Static Geometric Representation of RatiosAlireza Bahiraie, Noor Akma Ibrahim, A.K.M. Azhar, Ismail Bin MohdProblem statement: Some methodological problems concerning financial ratios such as non-proportionality, non-asymetricity, non-salacity were solved in this study and we presented a complementary technique for empirical analysis of financial ratios and bankruptcy risk. This new method would be a general methodological guideline associated with financial data and bankruptcy risk. Approach: We proposed the use of a new measure of risk, … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2009 · 8,222 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsHistogram of Intensity Feature Extraction for Automatic Plastic Bottle Recycling System Using Machine VisionSuzaimah Ramli, Mohd Marzuki Mustafa, Aini Hussain, Dzuraidah Abdul WahabCurrently, many recycling activities adopt manual sorting for plastic recycling that relies on plant personnel who visually identify and pick plastic bottles as they travel along the conveyor belt. These bottles are then sorted into the respective containers. Manual sorting may not be a suitable option for recycling facilities of high throughput. It has also been noted that the high … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 6 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,086 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComparative Study of Performance in Cryptography Algorithms (Blowfish and Skipjack)Ali Ahmad Milad, Hjh Zaiton Muda, Zul Azri Bin Muhamad Noh, Mustafa Almahdi AlgaetProblem statement: The main goal guiding the design of any encryption algorithm needs to be secured against unauthorized attacks. For all applied applications, performance and the cost of implementations are also important concerns. A data encryption algorithm would not be of much use if it is secure enough but slow in performance because it is a common repetition to embed … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 7 Jul 2012 · 8,021 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Systematic Review of Adversarial Attacks: ML Techniques, Classification and CountermeasuresBhavesh Kumar Sharma, Sanatan Ratna, Rajiv KumarMachine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL)-based technologies have made significant strides in areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, and autonomous systems. Yet they have been applied in high-stake applications, and have been found to be fragile through adversarial attacks-, maliciously crafted small distortions that fool models into making mistakes. From the pioneering work by Szegedy et al. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 5 · 19 May 2026 · 1,511 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Relationship Between Egg Weight of Olive Ridley Sea Turtle (Lepidochelys Olivacea) on Hatchability using “Maticgator” (Automatic Turtle Egg Incubator)Sukandar Sukandar, Sunardi, Vian Dedi Pratama, Zaenal AbidinSea turtles are reptile animals that live primarily in oceans but migrate to sandy beaches to produce and lay eggs in large quantities. However, the hundreds of eggs produced, only a dozen hatch and return to the sea. Also, factors of climate change and global warming have an impact on decreasing the wild sea turtle population, where female turtles are … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 2 · 7 Jun 2022 · 6,667 accessesView PDFCite
