Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA REVIEW ON USER INTERFACE DESIGN PRINCIPLES TO INCREASE SOFTWARE USABILITY FOR USERS WITH LESS COMPUTER LITERACYAli Darejeh, Dalbir SinghThis article presents a review on how software usability could be increased for users with less computer literacy. The literature was reviewed to extract user interface design principles by identifying the similar problems of this group of users. There are different groups of users with less computer literacy. However, based on the literature three groups of them need special attention … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 20 Sep 2013 · 12,181 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMapping Gamification Mechanisms to User Experience Factors for Designing User InterfacesNahed Alsaleh, Reem AlnanihHealthy living applications have been proposed as an ideal tool for behavior change. The use of gamification in healthcare interventions is gaining popularity, but there is still a need to clarify how to employ the benefit of this technology for managing children’s behavior. This paper proposes a new approach for mapping Gamification Mechanism (GM) to User Behavior Techniques (UBTs) considering … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 30 May 2019 · 7,911 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleField Scale Modeling to Estimate Phosphorus and Sediment Load Reductions Using a Newly Developed Graphical User Interface for Soil and Water Assessment ToolAaron R. Mittelstet, Erin R. Daly, Daniel E. Storm et al.Streams throughout the North Canadian River watershed in northwest Oklahoma, USA have elevated levels of nutrients and sediment. Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) was used to identify areas that likely contributed disproportionate amounts of Phosphorus (P) and sediment to Lake Overholser, the receiving reservoir at the watershed outlet. These sites were then targeted by the Oklahoma Conservation Commission (OCC) … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 28 Dec 2012 · 6,470 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdaptable User Interface Based on the Ecological Interface Design Concept for Multiple Robots Operating Works with UncertaintyHiroshi FurukawaProblem statement: When supervising a team of semi-autonomous robots, the operator’s task is not only the manipulation of each robot but also achievement of the top goal that is assigned to the entire team of humans and robots. The operators are demanded to comprehend highly complex states and make appropriate decisions in dynamic environment using the limited cognitive resources.
