Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleThe Impacts of Total System Design Factors on Human Performance in Power PlantsA. Azadeh, J. Nouri, I. Mohammad FamThe objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of total system design factors (TSD) on human performance in a power plant. The TSD factors are defined as design factors, which have an impact on the overall performance of the power plants in the context of total human engineering or macroergonomy. The systems being studied are the control rooms … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,674 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleImproved Model Predictive Control System Design and Implementation for Unmanned Ground VehiclesSai Charan Dekkata, Sun Yi, MA Muktadir et al.Autonomous ground robots autonomously are being used inthe places where it is very hazardous for human beings to reach and operate, such as nuclear power plants and chemical industries. The aim of the researchpresented here is to develop a control system that enables such ground robotsnavigate autonomously with various sensors as the depth camera, 2D scanninglaser, 3D Lidar, GPS, and IMU. … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 27 Oct 2022 · 6,000 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleNon-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithms for Heterogeneous Embedded System DesignA. K. Rath, S. N. DehuriThe design of complex embedded systems involves the simultaneous optimization of several conflicting and competing objectives. Instead of a single global optimal solution, there exist a set of Pareto optimal solutions. In this study we have used a multi-objective evolutionary optimization algorithms called non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA), which will suit to the requirements of designing a complex heterogeneous embedded … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,693 accessesView PDFCite

Aqel, Mohamd Al-EwiessiA computer based drift radar system has been designed for real time ionspheric irregularities measurements where closely spaced receiver technique has been utilized. A computerized interface with the system a long with real time software has been developed to keep tracking of the measured data for further analysis. The system has been implemented at locations and produced a reliable analysis. …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2007 · 6,725 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleOntology Based Knowledge Management System Design for Organic FarmingMuqeem Ahmed, Afrah Fathima, Mohammad Islam et al.In the current agricultural system, information is often gathered manually, and farmers make decisions based on their judgment. Occasionally, they seek advice from experts and extension officers. Numerous information systems have recently emerged, offering insights into organic farming practices. However, this information is dispersed across various contexts, formats, and media on the Internet, making it challenging to access. Utilizing ontology … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 25 Mar 2026 · 1,436 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleIoT-Fog based Smart-Building Security System Design and Performance EvaluationMaha Medhat, Khaled El-Shafey, Ali RashedThis paper aims to develop a smart building-security system utilizing fog technology. Fog computing is an innovative solution to reduce latency and network congestion, in which the cloud is extended to the edge of the network. The proposed system can detect an intruder, fire and water leakage. It is implemented using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Pi-camera and different sensors. The sensors … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 9 · 3 Oct 2020 · 7,206 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleState-Space Modelling of a Rocket for Optimal Control System DesignAliyu Bhar Kisabo, Aliyu Funmilayo Adebimpe, Odooh Clement Okwo, Sholiyi Olusegun SamuelIn this study, we present the derivation of the mathematical model for a rocket’s autopilot in state-space. The basic equations defining the airframe dynamics of a typical six-Degree-of-Freedom (6DoF) are non-linear and coupled. Separation of these nonlinear coupled dynamics is presented as lateral and longitudinal dynamic equations. The need to determine aerodynamic coefficients and there derivative components are brought to … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 25 May 2019 · 13,632 accessesView PDFCite
