Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Approach to Develop a Dynamic Job Shop Scheduling by Fuzzy Rule Based System and Comparative Study with the Traditional Priority RulesRamin Ahmed, Md. Muzahid Khan, Md. Hasibul Haque, Md. Hasibur RahmanThis paper aims at developing a dynamic job shop scheduling by establishing fuzzy rule based system and comparing its effectiveness with the traditional priority rules. In order to understand the priorities of different jobs in a job shop, the paper investigates all the contributing criteria of different parameters. Since the traditional priority rules only emphasis on a single parameter at … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 11 Feb 2016 · 8,365 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleRule Based Shallow Parser for Arabic LanguageMona Ali Mohammed, Nazlia OmarProblem statement: One of language processing approaches that compute a basic analysis of sentence structure rather than attempting full syntactic analysis is shallow syntactic parsing. It is an analysis of a sentence which identifies the constituents (noun groups, verb groups, prepositional groups), but does not specify their internal structure, nor their role in the main sentence. The only technique used … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 4 Aug 2011 · 7,183 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleForecasting Peak Load Electricity Demand Using Statistics and Rule Based ApproachZ. Ismail, A. Yahya, K. A. MahpolProblem statement: Forecasting of electricity load demand is an essential activity and an important function in power system planning and development. It is a prerequisite to power system expansion planning as the world of electricity is dominated by substantial lead times between decision making and its implementation. The importance of demand forecasting needs to be emphasized at all level as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2009 · 7,936 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCoverage Eligibility Rule based Coverage Maintenance Protocol for Energy Conservation in Wireless Sensor NetworksA. Balamurugan, T. PurushothamanProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) comprise of small nodes with sensing, computation and wireless communication capabilities. Nodes in a sensor network are severely constrained by energy and computing power. Continuous working of sensor nodes leads to quick depletion of battery power and reduces the overall lifetime. To prolong the lifetime of the sensor nodes, efficient routing protocol that could … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 6 Aug 2011 · 6,630 accessesView PDFCite
