Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEfficient Face Recognition in Video by Bit Planes SlicingM. Jasmine Pemeena Priyadarsini, K. Murugesan, Srinivasa Rao Inbathini, Visal KumarProblem statement: Video-based face recognition must be able to overcome the imaging interference such as pose and illumination. Approach: A model is designed to study for face recognition based on video sequence and also test image. In training stage, single frontal image is taken as a input to the recognition system. A new virtual image is generated using bit plane … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 26 Oct 2011 · 7,420 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractGait Analysis Combining Sports Biomechanics and ImagingChao ZhuAiming at the problems of marker positioning error, soft tissue interference, and insufficient personalized modeling ability in traditional gait analysis, this study proposes a gait assessment method that integrates sports biomechanics and multimodal imaging analysis. Firstly, based on the public OU-ISIR gait database, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is used to extract the key gait features in the human silhouette … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 20 Jul 2026 · 850 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhancing Brain MR Image Quality Using CNN With Best Denoising Modality for Improved Diagnosis of Abnormality: An AppraisalKavery Verma, Subodh Srivastava, Ritesh Kumar MishraDigital medical images acquired from the brain are highly susceptible to noise, which causes significant challenges for radiologists to identify abnormalities in a precise manner. Noise interference hampers both diagnostic accuracy and the interpretation of underlying abnormalities, potentially leading to flaw conclusions. Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging is the most preferred digital imaging technique for brain abnormality detection. To achieve precise … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 26 Mar 2026 · 1,462 accessesView PDF Cite

Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDecoding Late Blight of Potato and Tomato: Insights into Pathogen Dynamics, Host Interactions and Emerging SolutionsHumayra Ferdus, Mahabuba Mostafa, Dodi Al Sharif, Md. Motaher HossainThe oomycete Phytophthora infestans is the source of late blight, a devastating disease that significantly impacts on tomato and potato cultivation worldwide, threatening food security and causing considerable economic losses. This review explores the epidemiological dynamics of late blight, focusing on the pathogen's life cycle, reproductive strategies, and molecular pathogenesis. Traditional management strategies, including cultural practices, host resistance, and biocontrol … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 25, Issue 4 · 5 Feb 2026 · 2,530 accessesView PDF Cite
