Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Efficient Implementation of Weighted Fuzzy Fisherface Algorithm for Face Recognition Using Wavelet TransformEsther Annlin Kala James, S. AnnaduraiProblem statement: The paper addresses the face recognition problem by proposing Weighted Fuzzy Fisherface (WFF) technique using biorthogonal transformation. The weighted fuzzy fisherface technique was an extension of Fisher Face technique by introducing fuzzy class membership to each training sample in calculating the scatter matrices. Approach: In weighted fuzzy fisherface method, weight emphasizes classes that were close together and deemphasizes … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 26 Oct 2011 · 7,345 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEfficient Multimodal Biometric Authentication Using Fast Fingerprint Verification and Enhanced Iris FeaturesA. Jameer Basha, V. Palanisamy, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: The accuracy of biometric systems varies with the kind of biometric feature used in it. The Unmoral biometric system is prone to interclass variations. Approach: We implement Multimodal biometric systems to overcome the limitations by using multiple pieces of evidence of the same identity. However, the multimodal biometric system is limited to the time constraints due to its … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,619 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImproved Offline Signature Verification Scheme Using Feature Point Extraction MethodDebasish Jena, Banshidhar Majhi, Sanjay K. JenaSignature verification is a technology that can solve security problems in our networked society. A new improved offline signature verification scheme is proposed which is based on selecting 60 feature points from the geometric centre of the signature and compares them with the already trained feature points. The classification of the feature points utilizes statistical parameters like mean and variance. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 6,884 accessesView PDFCite
