Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrating Higher-Order Thinking Skills, Cognitive Load Theory, and Metacognition in Algebraic Problem-SolvingGurudeo Anand TularamThis study synthesizes 30 years of research (1990–2020) on algebraic problem-solving, integrating Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), Cognitive Load Theory (CLT), and metacognitive strategies to enhance student outcomes. Utilizing a critical synthesis approach with data from student interviews, problem-solving observations, and longitudinal tracking, the analysis reveals consistent patterns across diverse educational contexts despite limitations and variable factors like teaching styles and … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 21 Apr 2026 · 2,016 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePersistent Misconceptions in Algebra: A Critical Analysis of Errors with Implications for Teaching and Further ResearchGurudeo Anand Tularam, Omar Moalin HassanThis study explores the persistent challenges students face in learning algebra, with a focus on prevalent errors observed in secondary education worldwide. This study highlights the complex interplay between conceptual and procedural knowledge in algebraic reasoning through a comprehensive review of theoretical frameworks and empirical studies by influential scholars such as Kieran, Shard, Booth and Koedinger. As students transition from … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 22 Mar 2025 · 10,091 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn Hyper d-AlgebrasGerima Dejen Tefera, Ali MohammedAfter the introduction of hyper algebra different hyper algebraic structures like hyper BCK-algebra, hyper BE-algebra, hyper UP-algebra and hyper KU-algebras were introduced. In this research paper, we introduce the concept of Hyper d-Algebra which is a generalization of a d algebra, and investigate some related properties. Moreover, we discuss Hyper d-Algebra, the sub-algebra of Hyper d-Algebra, the ideal of Hyper … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 20, Issue 1 · 8 Jun 2024 · 7,513 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleInvestigation of Periodic Points in Algebraic VarietiesAhmed M. Ibrahim, Elhadi E. E. DalamThe aims of this study, the researchers inspected that if X an algebraic variety over a field K and f is a f1+2ε(P) = P for other ε >- 1/2, then the aset of periods time is limited and the little one is 1+2ε. Also the researchers confirmed that if O be a separate estimate ring of characteristics zero with … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 18, Issue 1 · 4 Oct 2021 · 6,805 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe q-Riccati AlgebraAmna Hasan, Hakeem A. Othman, Sami H. AltoumFor q∈(0, 1), we introduce the q-Riccati Lie algebra. Using the q-derivative (or Jackson derivative), we give a representation of this Lie algebra. …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 16, Issue 1 · 14 Jan 2020 · 6,980 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSWITCHING-ALGEBRAIC ANALYSIS OF RELATIONAL DATABASESAli Muhammad Ali Rushdi, Omar Mohammed Ba-RukabThere is an established equivalence between relational database Functional Dependencies (FDs) and a fragment of switching algebra that is built typically of Horn clauses. This equivalence pertains to both concepts and procedures of the FD relational database domain and the switching algebraic domain. This study is an exposition of the use of switching-algebraic tools in solving problems typically encountered in … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 18 Apr 2014 · 6,705 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFuzzy Subalgebras and Fuzzy T-ieals in TM-AlgebrasKandasamy Megalai, Angamuthu TamilarasiIn this study, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy subalgebras and fuzzy ideals in TM-algebras and investigate some of its properties. Problem statement: Let X be a TM-algebra, S be a subalgebra of X and I be a T-ideal of X. Let µ and v be fuzzy sets in a TM-algebra X. Approach: Define the upper level subset µt of … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 18 May 2011 · 8,718 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleVedas and the Development of Arithmetic and AlgebraGurudeo Anand TularamProblem statement: Algebra developed in three stages: rhetorical or prose algebra, syncopated or abbreviated algebra and symbolic algebra-known as “school algebra”. School algebra developed rather early in India and the literature now suggests that the first civilization to develop symbolic algebra was the Vedic Indians. Approach: Philosophical ideas of the time influenced the development of the decimal system and arithmetic … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2010 · 8,263 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleNearly Partial Derivations on Banach Ternary AlgebrasM. Eshaghi, M. B. Savadkouhi, M. Bidkham et al.Problem statement: In this study, we introduce the concept of a partial ternary derivation from A1 ×···× An into B, where A1, A2···, An and B are ternary algebras. Conclusion/Recommendations: We prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of partial ternary derivations in Banach ternary algebras. …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2010 · 7,060 accessesView PDFCite
