Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTunneling of Dirac Particles from Phantom Reissner Nordstrom ADS Black HoleH. GoharWe study the Hawking radiation of Dirac particles from Phantom Reissner Nordstrom ADS black hole by tunneling method. We use charge relativistic Dirac equation to study the emission of such particles. To solve Dirac equation we use WKB approximation and find the tunneling probability of outgoing particles. Finally we find the Hawking temperature for such type of black holes. …Space Science International, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 20 Jun 2013 · 8,897 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTunneling Operations, Occupational S&H and Environmental Protection: A Prevention Through Design ApproachDavide Labagnara, Alberto Martinetti, Mario PatruccoThe study refers on the main results of a research work that has been carried out by the Safety and Health group of the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering (DIATI) at the Politecnico di Torino, with reference to the substantial difference that exists between the case of an established absence of hazards due to the presence of noxious … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 11 Sep 2013 · 6,768 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsStudy of the Permeability of Foam Conditioned Soils with Laboratory TestsLuca Borio, Daniele PeilaProblem statement: EPB tunneling requires that the excavated soil has a plastic and pulpy behavior to be able to apply a stabilizing pressure to the face, but it should also be impervious to counteract filtration forces that could develop ahead of the face. The evaluation of this parameter in granular soil, before and after conditioning, is therefore of key importance … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 31 Aug 2010 · 8,459 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMost Used Rock Mass Classifications for Underground OpeningAl-Jbori A’ssim, Zhang Y. XingProblem statement: Rock mass characterization is an integral part of rock engineering practice. The empirical design methods based on rock mass classifications systems provide quick assessments of the support requirements for underground excavations at any stage of a project, even if the available geotechnical data are limited. The underground excavation industry tends to lean on empirical approaches such as rock … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2010 · 7,274 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Integrated SET Based Inverter for Nano Power Electronic ApplicationsNegin Moezi, Daryoosh Dideban, Abbas KetabiIn this research an emerging field of power electronics in nanotechnology is survived. This application-based technology today is called Nano Power Electronics. It utilizes nano electronic transistors in switching applications in the range of nano power for signal shaping purposes. In recent years Single Electron Transistors are highly interested in nano electronic applications. They have got inherently fast tunneling rate, … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2008 · 7,364 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPhase Transition in Φ6 PotentialHatem WidyanScalar field theory with an asymmetric potential was studied at zero temperature and high-temperature for Φ6 potential. The equations of motion are solved numerically to obtain O(4) spherical symmetric and O(3) cylindrical symmetric bounce solutions. These solutions control the rates for tunneling from the false vacuum to the true vacuum by bubble formation. The range of validity of the thin-wall … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,878 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe Wear of Tunnel Boring Machine Excavation Tools in RockClaudio Oggeri, Pierpaolo OresteSome of the most important aspects in the study of the fragmentation of rock due to the action of TBM disks concern the abrasiveness of the rock and the wear of the tools. The wear of the disks in fact means that they have to be substituted, with consequent effects on the efficiency of the excavation, on the speed of … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 16 Aug 2012 · 7,654 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPossibility of High Performance Quantum Computation by using Evanescent Photons in Living SystemsTakaaki MushaPenrose and Hameroff suggested that microtubles in living systems functioned as quantum computers by utilizing evanescent photons. On the basis of the theorem that the evanescent photon is a superluminal particle, the possibility of high performance computation in living systems has been studied. From the theoretical analysis, it is shown that the living system can achieve large quantum bits computation … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,359 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMulti-Timescale Microscopic Theory for Radiation Degradation of Electronic and Optoelectronic DevicesDanhong Huang, Fei Gao, D.A. Cardimona et al.A multi-timescale hybrid model is proposed to study microscopically the degraded performance of electronic devices, covering three individual stages of radiation effects studies, including ultra-fast displacement cascade, intermediate defect stabilization and cluster formation, as well as slow defect reaction and migration. Realistic interatomic potentials are employed in molecular-dynamics calculations for the first two stages up to 100 ns as well … …Space Science International, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 15 Jun 2015 · 10,235 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractENHANCED ENCAPSULATED SECURITY PAYLOAD A NEW MECHANISM TO SECURE INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 6 OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 4Rosilah Hassan, Amjed Sid Ahmed, Nur Effendy Othman, Samer SamiA considerable amount of time will be needed before each system in the Internet can convert from Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) to Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). Three strategies have been proposed by the Internet Engineer Task Force (IETF) to help the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 which are dual stack, header translation and tunneling. Tunneling is used when … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 17 Jun 2014 · 7,110 accessesView PDFCite
