Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsVisual Tracking using Invariant Feature DescriptorLee-Yeng Ong, Siong-Hoe Lau, Voon-Chet KooThe process of identifying the state of an object in a video sequence is referred as visual tracking. It is mainly achieved by using the appearance information from a reference image to recognize the similar characteristics from the other images. Since a digital image is built-up with rows and columns of pixels that are represented with finite set of digital … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 9 · 21 Sep 2017 · 7,715 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnergy Efficient Hidden Markov Model Based Target Tracking Mechanism in Wireless Sensor NetworksB. Amutha, M. PonnavaikkoProblem statement: Target tracking is a challenging application in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) because it is computation-intensive and requires real-time location processing. This study proposes a practical target tracking system based on the Hidden Markov Model in a distributed signal processing framework. In this framework, wireless sensor nodes perform target detection and tracking, whereas target localization requires the collaborative signal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 7,174 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Enhancement of Underwater Target Tracking by Fusing Data of Array of Global Positioning System SonobuoysAhmed El-Shafie, Abdallah Osman, Aboelmagd Noureldin, Aini HussainProblem statement: An accurate knowledge of geographic positions of sonobuoys is critical for the conduct of antisubmarine warfare operations and detected target localization. Deployed from an airborne platform or a surface vessel, arrays of sonobuoys could be used to efficiently track and localize submarines. Lastly, some sonobuoys were being equipped with GPS for improving system accuracy and potentially allowing networked … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2009 · 7,469 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSimplification of Sun Tracking Mode to Gain High Concentration Solar EnergyOmar Aliman, Ismail Daut, Muzamir Isa, Mohd Rafi AdzmanPower conversion from solar thermal energy to electrical energy is still very cost-intensive. Serious effort has to be given in the development of the concentrator or heliostat structure expenditure which contributing the most expensive component in a central receiver solar power plant. With current development to find alternatives and lower down the capital, a new mode of sun tracking has … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 7,187 accessesView PDF Cite
