Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn the Design and Construction of a Dual Axis Solar Tracker Prototype for a Dish Concentrator using ATMega3298P MicrocontrollerAlbright Abu Edet, Samaila Umaru, Isah IbrahimThe desire for reliable power supply is the reason for further research into alternative sources of power. Although solar tracking is not a new technology, yet solar harvesters still suffer low efficiency due to the intermittence of solar insolation. Thus many smart systems have been designed to maximise solar harvesters. Among the systems is the dual axis solar tracking system. … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 21 Apr 2021 · 7,248 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePrototype-Based Sample Selection for Active HashingCheong Hee ParkSeveral hashing-based methods for Approximate Nearest Neighbors (ANN) search in a large data set have been proposed recently. In particular, semi-supervised hashing utilizes semantic similarity given for a small fraction of pairwise data samples and active hashing aims to improve the performance for ANN search by relying on an expert for the labeling of the most informative points. In this … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 7 · 2 Nov 2015 · 6,736 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePROTOTYPE DESIGN SYSTEM FOR MOBILE WEB USING RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION AT PARKING BUILDINGDerwin Suhartono, Chitra Patricia, Hendry Steven, KevinSeveral factors cause people forget things. They are retrieval failure, interference failure to store and motivated forgetting. So, it is considered to have tools in order to prevent those. This happens almost everywhere, including when the drivers forgot where their car has been parked. Furthermore, the increase of parking fee is also considerable. The purpose of this research is to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 7,218 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleField Evaluation of a Pneumatic Prototype Machine Designed to Control the Colorado Potato Beetle in Potato CropsSaad Almady, Mohamed KhelifiThe Colorado Potato Beetle (CPB), Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say, 1824, is a major insect pest of potato plants. It can greatly reduce potato yields if left uncontrolled. The most effective method of controlling the CPB is to apply chemical insecticides during its life cycle. However, the CPB tends to develop resistance to chemicals. Therefore, its control is difficult. This has prompted … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 1 · 26 Dec 2022 · 6,403 accessesView PDFCite
