Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLightweight Deep Learning Model for TFT-LCD Pixel Defect Detection Using MobileNetV2J. Sheikshabjan, K. Dhanakodi, A.T. Rajamanickam et al.The proposed methodology aims to achieve high classification accuracy while maintaining computational efficiency and minimizing inference latency, making it highly suitable for real-time industrial inspection scenarios. This study evaluated five traditional transfer learning models (VGG16, ResNet50, MobileNetV2, Xception, and InceptionV3) for comparison in pixel defect detection. MobileNetV2-based implementation demonstrated a competitive average test accuracy of 0.9916, outperforming several baselines while … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 8 · 8 Sep 2026 · 673 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLand-Cover Removal and Gully Development in Southeast Nigeria: A 30-Year Analysis with Pixel and OBIA Approaches in JuxtapositionSylvanus IroIn this study a study of gully erosion in southeast Nigeria is presented. The study of gully development on a regional scale is currently undermined by the inherent costs associated with consistent field monitoring and the lack of historic measurements to perform time series analysis. As a result, there are very few studies which implement long term analyses of gullies … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 2 · 9 Jun 2020 · 7,383 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA High Quality Steganography Method with Twenty Five-Pixel Value DifferencingRojali, Ford Lumban Gaol, Edi Abdurahman, Benfano SoewitoThe fundamental objectives of image steganography algorithm are to simultaneously achieve high payload or embedding capacity, good visual imperceptibility and security. This paper presents a new approach to improve the embedding capacity and provide an imperceptible visual quality, a novel steganography method based on algorithm twenty five pixel value differencing and modified interval table (TFPVD). The cover image is made … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 10 · 29 Oct 2019 · 7,344 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Method for Accuracy Assessment of Sub-Pixel Classification ResultsH. Emami, B. MojaradiProblem statement: Classification accuracy assessment is the main stage of information extraction to evaluate the performance of a classifier. According to the output's classifiers (thematic map/fraction map), a properly strategy for accuracy assessment should be taken into consideration. Since pure pixels are used in traditional accuracy assessment of full pixel classifiers they are not suitable for assessment of sub-pixel classifiers. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2009 · 7,475 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImage Binarization Using Block Boundary Pixels MeanO. Imocha Singh, T. Romen SinghInput image pixels classification into two intensities like black and white as foreground and background respectively refers to image binarization. Binarization with a local threshold value is termed as adaptive image binarization. Locally adaptive thresholding techniques are local pixels dependent process. Local environment dependent process is normally time consuming one and hence its computational time complexity is also local region … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 11 · 28 Nov 2017 · 7,811 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRandomized Pixel Selection for Enhancing LSB Algorithm Security against Brute-Force AttackAmmar Y. Tuama, Mohamad A. Mohamed, Abdullah Muhammed, Zurina M. HanapiSteganography is the science of concealing a secret message by embedding it into innocent carriers such as text, audio, images, etc. It plays a crucial role in a broad range of security applications such as securing message exchange, user authentication and copyrighting. One of the most effortless and widely-used techniques is the age-old Least Significant Bits (LSB) algorithm, which can … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 13, Issue 2 · 16 May 2017 · 7,445 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSingle Step Optimal Block Matched Motion Estimation with Motion Vectors Having Arbitrary Pixel PrecisionsCharlotte Yuk-Fan Ho, Bingo Wing-Kuen Ling, Saverio Giovanni Blasi et al.Problem statement: This study derives the optimal motion vector with arbitrary pixel precisions in a single step. Approach: A non-linear block matched motion model was proposed. Based on the proposed non-linear block matched motion model, the optimal motion vector which minimizes the mean square error was solved analytically in a single step via a gradient approach. Results: The mean square … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 12 Jan 2012 · 8,201 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMammogram Analysis Based on Pixel Intensity Mean FeaturesR. Nithya, B. SanthiProblem statement: In the recent years, Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) can be very useful for detection of breast cancer. Mammography can be used as an efficient tool for breast cancer diagnosis. A computer based diagnosis and classification system can reduce unnecessary biopsy. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Novel Fidelity Digital Watermarking Based on Adaptively Pixel-Most-Significant-Bit-6 in Spatial Domain Gray Scale Images and RobustMehemed Bashir Aliwa, Tarek El-Ahmady El-Tobely, Mahmood M. Fahmy et al.The digital watermarking technology is a way to apply digital information hiding techniques and prevent malicious and non-malicious attacks to detect hidden information. Problem statement: The problems in digital watermarking is that the three requirements of imperceptibility, capacity and robustness that are must be satisfied but they almost conflict with each other, accordingly there are tradeoff between fidelity and robustness. … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 7,159 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImage Steganography by Mapping Pixels to LettersMohammed A.F. Al-HusainyProblem statement: Steganography hides the very existence of a message so that if successful it generally attracts no suspicion at all. Using steganography, information can be hidden in carriers such as images, audio files, text files, videos and data transmissions. In this study, we proposed a new framework of an image steganography system to hide a digital text of a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 8,319 accessesView PDFCite
