Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStatistical Analysis of Geothermal Data of an Oil Field, in Parts of Niger Delta, NigeriaEmujakporue Godwin Omokenu, Leonard I. NwosuGeothermal gradient and heat flow were computed from bottom hole temperatures in an oil field in Niger Delta, Nigeria. The statistical analysis of computed geothermal data was carried out. The computed geothermal gradient vary from 17.3±0.14 to 24.33±0.70°C/Km with an average of 22.24±0.57°C/km. The heat flow ranges from 38.06±0.31 to 56.39±2.41 mWm-2 with an average of 50.15±1.25 mWm-2. The computed … …Current Research in Geoscience, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 26 Sep 2016 · 7,963 accessesView PDF Cite

Case ReportOpen accessIn the abstractSteady State Groundwater Flow Modeling of an Ex-Landfill Site in Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaMustapha Atta, Wan Zuhairi Wan Yaacob, Othman Bin JaafarEffective and rational management of groundwater resources require adequate information on the groundwater flow interactions with surface water and chemical species in the flow regime. The hydrologic conditions beneath the unlined ex- landfill site in Jinjang Kuala Lumpur were investigated to understand the groundwater flow and geochemical setting in which contaminants transport in the groundwater may occur in the ex-landfill. … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 5 · 30 Oct 2015 · 8,092 accessesView PDF Cite
