Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMotion Detection and Projection Based Block Motion Estimation Using the Radon Transform for Video CodingShilpa P. Metkar, Sanjay N. TalbarProblem statement: Motion estimation and compensation is the most computationally complex module of video coder. In this study, an innovative algorithm was proposed for a further complexity reduction of the Motion Estimation (ME) module of video coder by employing motion detection prior to motion compensation. Approach: A Motion Detection (MD) module can be added to the video coder in order … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2010 · 7,326 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMOTION DETECTION USING THE SPACE-TIME INTEREST POINTSInsaf Bellamine, Hamid TairiSpace-Time Interest Points (STIP) are among all the interesting features which can be extracted from videos; they are simple, robust and they allow a good characterization of a set of regions of interest corresponding to moving objects in a three-dimensional observed scene. In this study, we show how the resulting features often reflect interesting events that can be used for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 17 Jan 2014 · 6,643 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAutomatic Boundary Detection of Wall Motion in Two-dimensional Echocardiography ImagesFaten Abed Ali Dawood, Rahmita Wirza Rahmat, Mohd Zamrin Dimon et al.Problem statement: Medical image analysis is a particularly difficult problem because the inherent characteristics of these images, including low contrast, speckle noise, signal dropouts and complex anatomical structures. An accurate analysis of wall motion in Two-dimensional echocardiography images is “important clinical diagnosis parameter for many cardiovascular diseases”. A challenge most researchers faced is how to speed up the clinical decisions … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 8,188 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA COMPARISION OF VARIOUS EDGE DETECTION TECHNIQUES IN MOTION PICTURE FOR IDENTIFYING A SHARK FISHShrivakshan Gopal Thiruvangadan, Chelliah ChandrasekarThe significant feature of detecting the motion image objects in this study it try identify the shark fish videos by removing the Background of the image. The main method involved in the detecting from the background is the foreground detection of the image. There are many techniques which usually ignore the fact that the background images consist of different image … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 18 Sep 2013 · 6,691 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDeep Learning Approach for Human Action Recognition Using Gated Recurrent Unit Neural Networks and Motion AnalysisNeziha Jaouedi, Noureddine Boujnah, Med Salim BouhlelHuman action recognition is a computer vision task. The evaluation of action recognition algorithms relies on the proper extraction and learning of the data. The success of the deep learning and especially learning layer by layer led to many imposing results in several contexts that include neural network. Here the Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) with hidden unit has demonstrated advanced … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 7 · 29 Jul 2019 · 8,018 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTRACKING THE POSITION OF MULTIPLE HUMAN GESTURES USING CONTOUR MAPPING ALGORITHMT. S. Arulananth, T. Jayasingh, S. RaviThis study relates to a method for determining the position variation (for example a moving object, facial gesture tracking) using markers. The movement is determined based on the periodic frames captured using a camera. The experimental results show that this algorithm can accurately segment human movements from complex background and can greatly reduce the computational workload with less storage memory, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 22 May 2014 · 6,503 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsHigh-precision Detection of Facial Landmarks to Estimate Head Motions Based on Vision ModelsXiaohong W. Gao, Sergey Anishenko, Dmitry Shaposhnikov et al.A new approach of determination of head movement is presented from the pictures recorded via digital cameras monitoring the scanning processing of PET. Two human vision models of CIECAMs and BMV are applied to segment the face region via skin colour and to detect local facial landmarks respectively. The developed algorithms are evaluated on the pictures (n=12) monitoring a subject’s … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,819 accessesView PDFCite
