Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAnalysis of Interaction Design Patterns on Drawing Application for Early Preschool Children using Inductive Approach (Case Study: ABC Coloring Book for Toddlers and Tracer-hand Writing Pattern Drawing Application)Indah Mekar Sari, Dana Sulistiyo Kusumo, Mira Kania SabariahNowadays, there are many game applications that are used as a medium of interactive learning for children. One of them can help early preschool children to learn drawing. Using interaction data, we conducted an inductive approach to identify children's interaction patterns on drawing applications. We observed the used of two drawing applications: "ABC Coloring Book for Toddlers" and "Tracer-Hand Writing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 13 Dec 2017 · 7,575 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Effect of the Transportation System and City Configuration on Sustainable Urbanization (Al-Bayda City as a Case Study)Aisha Bakar, Ashraf Fadiel, Taher Abu-LebdehDespite the persistent attempts on a global level to adopt sustainability in every aspect of city planning, the complex nature of city components and the presence of many factors and variables that affect the growth and development of cities make the adoption of a specific trend not an easy matter. It may be more appropriate to identify some important elements … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 2 · 19 Mar 2024 · 5,278 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTissue Engineering of Articular Cartilage: A Mini-ReviewRadoslav Zamborsky, Jana Rusnakova, Andreas NicodemouDamage of articular cartilage due to congenital anomaly, injury or pathological process may lead in decreasing of life quality of affected patients. In many cases, conventional therapeutical approaches may not bring expected results. Tissue engineering by the combination of material technology and cell-based therapy may represent hope for these patients. The main goal of this review article is to summarize … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 5 Jan 2015 · 6,925 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStructure of Lamellae and Chloride Cell in the Gill of Alosa Caspio Caspio (Clupeidae, Teleostei)Z. Saadatfar, D. ShahsavaniAs a surface for respiratory gas diffusion, ion regulation and waste excretion, gill epithelium of Alosa Caspio Caspio has been investigated. Problem statement: Surely, morphological study of gill cells is the main route for giving the basic data which can be inductive for physiological and pathological investigations. Approach: Gills were removed from Alosa Caspio which is from euryhaline species and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2011 · 6,881 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Approach in Design and Operating Principle of Silicone Tactile SensorBakri Ali, Rozaini Othman, Rasdi Deraman, Muhammad Azmi AyubProblem statement: Research and development in tactile sensor are escalating due to the fact that advanced robot needs to interact with surrounding environments which is very complex, dynamic, uncontrolled and difficult to perceive reliably. Recent research has been focusing in development of new tactile sensor that takes advantage of advances in materials, Micro-Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) and semiconductor technology. To date, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2010 · 7,347 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAssessing the Applicability of Landslide Databases for Hazard Management Using Objective and Subjective Models: Australian Geoinformatic CaseM. OwneghProblem statement: In order to assess the applicability of Australian landslide databases as a hazard management support system, current hard and soft literature and data sources were screened. This assessment resulted in the selection of four main data bases including national landslide database (A), Peril Aus ІІ (B), the Cities project (C) and analytical study of Fell (D). Approach: In … …Current Research in Geoscience, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 30 Jun 2010 · 10,352 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHot Machining of Hardened Steels with Coated Carbide InsertsM. A. Lajis, A. K.M.N. Amin, A. N.M. Karim et al.Problem statement: The benefits of easier manufacture of hardened steel components can be substantial in terms of reduced machining costs and lead times compared to the traditional route involving machining of the annealed state followed by heat treatment, grinding/EDM and manual finishing. But machinability of hard material through conventional machining is hindered due to excessive wear of the cutting tools … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2009 · 8,378 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordExperimental Study of Electromagnetic Environment in the Vicinity of High Voltage LinesWafa Tourab, Abdesselam Babouri, Mohamed NemamchaProblem statement: Several studies have investigated the impact of electromagnetic field generated by high voltage power lines on environment. The evaluation of electric and magnetic field quantities are of paramount interest in the characterization of electromagnetic environment of the proposed line. The purpose of this study was to analyze the behavior of electromagnetic fields generated by power lines in an … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 12 Jul 2011 · 8,316 accessesView PDF Cite
