Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImproved Fuzzy Logic Controller Implemented on FPGA Circuit for Photovoltaic SystemsAouatif Ibnelouad, Abdeljalil Elkari, Hassan Ayad, Mostafa MjahedTo be the photovoltaic arrays capable to transport the maximum power obtainable, it must be combined with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). To succeed, we will improve a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method, based on intelligent technique such as Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), compared with a conventional method which is P&O. This improved method applied to a stand-alone photovoltaic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 5 · 5 Jun 2020 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImplementation of Fuzzy Logic Maximum Power Point Tracking Controller for Photovoltaic SystemRasoul Rahmani, Mohammadmehdi Seyedmahmoudian, Saad Mekhilef, Rubiyah YusofIn this study, simulation and hardware implementation of Fuzzy Logic (FL) Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) used in photovoltaic system with a direct control method are presented. In this control system, no proportional or integral control loop exists and an adaptive FL controller generates the control signals. The designed and integrated system is a contribution of different aspects which includes … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 5 Mar 2013 · 7,870 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImplementation of a Novel Control Strategy Using Fuzzy Logic Controller to Shunt Active Filter for Line Harmonic ReductionN. Senthilnathan, T. ManigandanProblem statement: Now days, power quality has been given attention due to the intensive use of power electronic equipments in all types of industries such as steel, paper, textile industries and so on. These power electronic devices induce harmonic distortion into the supply lines which gives rise to many undesirable effects. Approach: This study presents a new method for harmonic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 29 Feb 2012 · 7,087 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsGradient Descent Learning for Utility Current Compensation using Active Regenerative PWM FilterR. Balamurugan, G. GurusamyProblem statement: Harmonic analysis is a primary matter of power quality assessment. Its main intention is to check the utility whether it is delivering the loads without any deviations in voltages and currents. The problem is due to proliferation of Electronic converters and power electronics which gave birth to numerous new applications, offering unmatched comfort to the customers. Approach: Harmonics … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 14 Oct 2011 · 6,545 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReal-Time Fuzzy Logic Control of Two-Link Flexible ManipulatorsJimoh Olarewaju Pedro, Juan-Paul HynekThis study investigates the development of a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for tracking a sinusoidal wave trajectory and suppressing the vibration of a Two Link Flexible Manipulator (TLFM). The TLFM was modeled using Lagrange's formalism and the Assumed Mode Method (AMM). A three-part apparatus consisting of a TLFM mathematical model, a real-world TLFM, and control software was designed and implemented. … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 11 May 2023 · 6,169 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractENERGY EFFICIENT FLOW AND LEVEL CONTROL IN A HYDRO POWER PLANT USING FUZZY LOGICA. Selwin Mich Priyadharson, M. S. Saravanan, N. Gomathi et al.The main objective and an innovative design of this work is to improve the energy efficiency by controlling the variables flow and level in a hydroelectric power plant using Programmable Logic Control (PLC)-Human Machine Interface (HMI) and fuzzy logic approach. This project will focus on design and development of flow and level controller for small scale hydro generating units by … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 19 Apr 2014 · 6,814 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign of Synthetic Optimizing Neuro Fuzzy Temperature Controller for Dual Screw Profile Plastic Extruder Using LabviewRavi Samikannu, Balakrishnan Anantharaman PoonamallieProblem statement: The temperature control in plastic extrusion machine is an important factor to produce high quality plastic products. The first order temperature control system in plastic extrusion comprises of coupling effects, long delay time and large time constants. Controlling temperature is very difficult as the process is multistage process and the system coupled with each other. In order to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,112 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign and Implementation of an Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controller Using Genetic AlgorithmS. Khan, S. F. Abdulazeez, L. W. Adetunji et al.All control systems suffer from problems related to undesirable overshoot, longer settling times and vibrations while going form one state to another state. Most of relevant techniques had been in the form of suggesting modification and improvement in the instrumentation or interfacing part of the control system and the results reported, remain suffering from shortcomings related to hardware parameter dependence … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 8,049 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Advantages of PID Fuzzy Controllers Over The Conventional TypesAbdullah I. Al-Odienat, Ayman A. Al-LawamaFuzzy logic controllers (FLC's) have the following advantages over the conventional controllers: they are cheaper to develop, they cover a wider range of operating conditions, and they are more readily customizable in natural language terms. A self-organizing fuzzy controller can automatically refine an initial approximate set of fuzzy rules. Application of PI-type fuzzy controller increases the quality factor. In this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 18,036 accessesView PDFCite
