Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractResponse Time Optimization for Replica Selection Service in Data GridsHusni H.E. AL-Mistarihi, Chan H. YongProblem Statement: Data Grid architecture provides a scalable infrastructure for grid services in order to manage data files and their corresponding replicas that were distributed across the globe. The grid services are designed to support a variety of data grid applications (jobs) and projects. Replica selection is a high-level service that chooses a replica location from among many distributed replicas … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 6,495 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractConsumer Choice Prediction: Artificial Neural Networks versus Logistic ModelsChristopher Gan, Visit Limsombunchai, Mike Clemes, Amy WengConventional econometric models, such as discriminant analysis and logistic regression have been used to predict consumer choice. However, in recent years, there has been a growing interest in applying artificial neural networks (ANN) to analyse consumer behaviour and to model the consumer decision-making process. The purpose of this paper is to empirically compare the predictive power of the probability neural … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2005 · 8,441 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMRI Observation and Analysis of Muscle Activity During ExerciseLi-Chang Zou, Hong-Wu LiWhile conventional biomechanical testing techniques are able to determine the mechanical characteristics of muscle tissue, they do not offer precise insight into how muscle metabolism and microstructure change in response to various types of exercise activities over the course of time. Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) analysis of muscle tissue allows researchers to examine how different levels of intensity affect … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 30 Jul 2026 · 1,025 accessesView PDF Cite
