Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractField Programmable Gate Array-Based Pulse-Width Modulation for Single Phase Active Power FilterN. A. Rahim, Z. IslamProblem statement: The design and implementation of a sinusoidal Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) generator for a single-phase hybrid power filter is presented. Approach: The PWM was developed in an Altera® Flex 10 K Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and the modulation index was selected by calculating the DC bus voltage of the active filter through a digital controller, by Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 7,293 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEpidemiology and Seasonal Pattern of Malaria in an Irrigated Area of Eastern SudanYousif El-Safi Himeidan, Efatih. M. Malik, Ishag AdamEpidemiological patterns of malaria are widely different; such information can help programs to design interventions relevant to situation. This cohort study investigated the epidemiology of malaria in Dipaira camp, an irrigated area, in eastern Sudan during the period July 2004 to Jun 2005. At baseline, the relevant socio-demographic factors and the monthly malaria parasitological surverys were carried-out. Thirty- six (4.1%) … …American Journal of Infectious Diseases, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,967 accessesView PDFCite

MayilsamyProblem statement: In Built-In Self-Test (BIST), test patterns are generated and applied to the Circuit-Under-Test (CUT) by on-chip hardware; minimizing hardware overhead is a major concern of BIST implementation. In pseudorandom BIST architectures, the test patterns are generated in random nature by linear feedback shift registers. This normally requires more number of test patterns for testing the architectures which need … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 21 Jul 2012 · 7,357 accessesView PDFCite

Review ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordOrganizing Classification of Application Logic Attacks in Component-based E-Commerce SystemsFaisal Nabi, Jianming Yong, Xiaohui Tao et al.This research paper addresses the topic of application logic attack taxonomy that is due to unclear and incorrect implementation in component-based applications. The issue addresses the detection and classification of two separate types of vulnerabilities in component-based applications. The paper completes this aim through organising the classification of each attack and then proposes the classification of logical vulnerabilities and discusses … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 11 · 14 Nov 2021 · 6,611 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordUsing Linear Chouquet Integral Algorithm to Design Optimal Time-Cost Model in Large Construction ProjectsHamid Jafari Nia, Kaveh Ostad-Ali-Askari, Hamidreza BabaaliNowadays, the problem of scheduling and executing projects with the least cost and time has become one of the main concerns of project managers. In this regard, researchers have used different methods and patterns. One of these methods is to use concurrent engineering in projects. Simultaneous engineering means the creation of a project schedule for projects based on existing units … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 18 Nov 2020 · 6,686 accessesView PDFCite

The performer in such events must have ability to assess the situation, select the response, decide quickly and then implement it with determined efforts. Approach: This study was focused to examine the levels of achievement motivation, emotional and social adjustment among international and national players of basketball, hockey and … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 18 Jul 2011 · 9,010 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThe Design and Implementation of a Novel Skew Scenario Model in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksN. Vetrivelan, A. V. ReddyProblem statement: In this research, it had been presented a novel Skew Scenario Model that has been developed and implemented for mobile ad hoc networks. There exist several mobility patterns that try to capture the behavior of the mobile devices under different circumstances, whereas in our work, the direction movement of the nodes is significantly specified horizontally, vertically and diagonally … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 6,922 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDesign of a Neural Networks Classifier for Face DetectionF. Smach, M. Atri, J. Mitéran, M. AbidFace detection and recognition has many applications in a variety of fields such as security system, videoconferencing and identification. Face classification is currently implemented in software. A hardware implementation allows real-time processing, but has higher cost and time to-market. The objective of this work was to implement a classifier based on neural networks MLP (Multi-layer Perception) for face detection. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,885 accessesView PDFCite
