Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Accurate Mango Pest Identification Employing the Gaussian Mixture Model and Expectation-Maximization (EM) AlgorithmD. Lita Pansy, M. MuraliMangoes are fruits that originated in South and Southeast Asia. Mango fruits are consumed in high volume worldwide. However, fruit, stem, root, and mango leaves are damaged by pests, and it has a significant negative impact on mango production. Many works were developed for the pest detection of mango; but, none of the works concentrated on the practical applicability and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 3 Dec 2024 · 5,063 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDevelopment of Environmentally Friendly Protection Measures Against Pests and DiseasesN. S. Mukhamadiyev, A. M. Chadinova, N. Sultanova et al.The paper describes the monitoring of phytosanitary conditions in different regions of the Almaty region (Kazakhstan) and demonstrates the large population of cruciferous fleas (Phyllotreta cruciferae) on rapeseed plants, which reaches 7-9 spec./m2, exceeding the economic injury level (3-5 spec./m2). The disease is observed to spread on wheat and barley seeds. Proceeding from this, the study aims to develop effective … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 23, Issue 2 · 27 Apr 2023 · 5,241 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMethodology of the Development of Production Digital Twins Using a Simulation ExperimentSnježana Križanić, Neven VrčekThe simulation experiment evaluates whether the business process model accurately replicates real-world operations and whether the digital twin functions in real-time. A digital twin of a production business process is a virtual representation of its real-world counterpart. Its aim is to monitor the execution of the actual production business process in order to detect irregularities and production downtimes early and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2025 · 4,805 accessesView PDFCite
