Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSystem Evolving using Ant Colony Optimization AlgorithmNada M.A. AL-SalamiProblem statement: The goal of automatic programming system is to create, in an automated way, a computer program that enables a computer to solve a problem. It is difficult to build an automatic programming system: They require carefully designed specification languages and an intimate knowledge base. Determine the relevance of mathematical system theory to the problems of automatic programming and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 5 · 30 May 2009 · 7,516 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleTasks Scheduling using Ant Colony OptimizationA. P. Shanthi, G. Umarani Srikanth, V. Uma Maheswari, Arul SiromoneyProblem statement: Efficient scheduling of the tasks to heterogeneous processors for any application is critical in order to achieve high performance. Finding a feasible schedule for a given task set to a set of heterogeneous processors without exceeding the capacity of the processors, in general, is NP-Hard. Even if there are many conventional approaches available, people have been looking at … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 25 Jul 2012 · 7,668 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Designing Framework for Ant Colony Algorithm for Managing Cognitive InsomniaRoqia Rateb, Amal Shorman, Ahmad Sami Al-Shamayleh et al.Insomnia, a condition characterized by poor sleep quality, significantly impacts cognitive function, mood, and overall well-being. Traditional treatments like medication and psychological therapies, while effective, often come with limitations such as high costs and limited scalability. This study addresses these challenges by proposing an Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm-based approach to create a dynamic support network for individuals suffering from … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 7 · 7 Jul 2025 · 3,518 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Optimized Machine Learning Approach for Early Prediction of Heart Disease Using Bio-Inspired AlgorithmsIndira Priyadarsini, I.S. Siva Rao, P. Swetha et al.This study presents a novel approach for early prediction of heart disease using bio-inspired optimization algorithms to select and optimize features. The proposed approach utilizes a Genetic Algorithm (GA), Bat Algorithm (BA), Bee Algorithm (BA), and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to optimize a set of four features for improved prediction accuracy. The optimization process aims to identify the most relevant … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 4 Dec 2024 · 5,227 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsModified ACS Centroid Memory for Data ClusteringAyad Mohammed Jabbar, Ku Ruhana Ku-Mahamud, Rafid SagbanAnt Colony Optimization (ACO) is a generic algorithm, which has been widely used in different application domains due to its simplicity and adaptiveness to different optimization problems. The key component that governs the search process in this algorithm is the management of its memory model. In contrast to other algorithms, ACO explicitly utilizes an adaptive memory, which is important to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 10 · 11 Oct 2019 · 7,641 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES FOR ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK IN BIO MEDICAL APPLICATIONSV. Saishanmuga Raja, S. P. RajagopalanIn this study we compare the performance of three evolutionary algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Ant-Colony Optimization (ACO) which are used to optimize the Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Optimization of Neural Networks improves speed of recall and may also improve the efficiency of training. Here we have used the Ant colony optimization, Particle Swarm … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 12 Nov 2013 · 7,287 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSECURING MOBILE ANT AGENT USING CHINESE REMAINDER THEOREMSrinath Doss, Janet JeyarajRecent days, research in wireless network becomes major area for the past few decades. In wireless routing many routing methods such as table driven, source driven; many characteristics such as reactive routing, proactive routing; many routing algorithms such as dijikstra’s shortest path, distributed bell-man ford algorithm are proposed in the literature. For effective wireless routing, the recent ant colony optimization … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,560 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Optimized Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol for Wireless NetworksV. Ponniyin Selvan, S. Senthil KumarProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) is communication network made up of mesh routers and mesh clients, with mesh routers forming the backbone of the network. The WMN can be accessed by other networks through gateways and bridging functions in the mesh routers. The mesh clients can either be static or mobile with an option of forming a client mesh … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 21 Jun 2012 · 7,166 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Optimal Load Sharing Technique For Grid ComputingD. Ramesh, A. KrishnanProblem statement: Grid and Cloud Computing is the fast growing industry, in which the grid computing shares the resources in the organization in an effective manner. Resource sharing requires more optimized algorithmic structure, otherwise the waiting time and response time are increased and the resource utilization is reduced. Approach: In order to avoid such reduction in the performances of the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 29 May 2012 · 6,965 accessesView PDFCite
