The quality and coverage in speech corpus will affect the quality of synthesis speech sound. Approach: This study proposes a corpus design for Malay corpus-based speech synthesis system. This includes the study of design criteria in corpus-based speech synthesis, Malay corpus based database design and the concatenation … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 8,302 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA LOW-COST EFFECTIVE UWB LOCATION SYSTEM BASED ON FREQUENCY SYNTHESIS TECHNOLOGYQilong Zhang, Fei QinWireless location system based on UWB signals has been widely utilized by wireless network recently, especially for the indoor scenarios where GPS signal has been heavily attenuated. However, due to the requirement of ultra wideband signals, existing location system usually faces problems including complexity, robust and cost, which limit the potential applications. In this study, we propose a new approach … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 26 Dec 2014 · 7,633 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSynthesis and Optical Properties of ZnO-TeO2 Glass SystemH. A.A. Sidek, S. Rosmawati, Z. A. Talib et al.Problem statement: Systematic series of ZnO-TeO2 glasses with mole fraction of 0.10-0.40 ZnO content with an interval of 0.05 were studied to obtain their physical and optical properties. Approach: All the glass samples were synthesized by rapid melting quenching method under controlled conditions, while their refractive indices (n) were measured by the EL X-02C high precision ellipsometer. The room temperature … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2009 · 14,077 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of an IP Library for the Synthesis of Image Compression SystemsChokri Souani, Ihsen Gazzah, Kamel BesbesTo design a hardware system we may use generated Intellectual Property (IP) cores from a library with optimized parameters. The IP parameters are area minimization, memory use optimization and speed acceleration. The designed system depends on such IP parameters. In this paper, we propose the design of an IP library optimized with different constraints. The created IPs may be used … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2006 · 6,458 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOptimization of Clock Tree Synthesis Under Stochastic Process Variation Modeling for Multi-FPGA SystemsKarthik Thirumalai Sampath, Jawahar Senthil Kumar VeerabadranIn this age of scientific computing, the experiment models and evaluation is a commonly employed rendition of the simulation methods. In addition to the optimality, the methods which depict underlying uncertainty in process variation. It is accomplished by adjusting number of samples on delay and wire width. Here addresses the thermal profile, if temperature gradually increases, also reduce worst case … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 29 Oct 2013 · 6,510 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThai Speech Phonology for Development of Speech Synthesis: A ReviewSuphattharachai ChomphanProblem statement: To implementation of the Hidden Markov Model (HMM)-based Thai speech synthesis system, it is necessary to understand the phonology system for a language. Without the phonological information, the contextual factors of tree-based context clustering cannot be completed. Approach: The existing speech units in Thai are studied thoroughly so that the synthesis system can provide all of them in … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 27 Dec 2011 · 6,960 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAnalytical Study on Fundamental Frequency Contours of Thai Tones using Tone-Geometrical ModelSuphattharachai ChomphanProblem statement: In tonal language speech; such as Thai, Mandarin and Vietnam, tone is an important feature of a syllable that must be taken into consideration, since tone is a supra-segmental feature in the speech prosody. Modeling of tone with high accuracy could enhance the quality of synthesized speech in the speech synthesis system.
