Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCTSS: A Tool for Efficient Information Extraction with Soft Matching Rules for Text MiningA. Christy, P. ThambiduraiThe abundance of information available digitally in modern world had made a demand for structured information. The problem of text mining which dealt with discovering useful information from unstructured text had attracted the attention of researchers. The role of Information Extraction (IE) software was to identify relevant information from texts, extracting information from a variety of sources and aggregating it … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2008 · 6,892 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Analysis of Interleaved Boost Converter with LC Coupled Enhanced Soft SwitchingR. Vijayabhasker, S. Palaniswami, V. Venkatesa Kumar, M. Newlin Raj KumarAn enhanced soft switching technique for an interleaved boost converter with Zero Current Switching (ZCS) and Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) during OFF and ON conditions of the main switches, that can drive large loads operated in duty cycle greater than 0.5 is proposed in this study. In this topology, auxiliary circuit is composed of resonant tank which is used to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 10 Apr 2013 · 6,091 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCurve Fitting Using Conic by Evolutionary ComputingZainor Ridzuan Yahya, Abd Rahni Mt Piah, Ahmad Abd MajidProblem statement: A direct method, such as least squares technique is usually used to solve problems involving matching a curve or a surface to a set of data points. The solution obtained by this direct method is precise or very good in approximation, but computationally not very efficient. Thus, in this study, we propose an indirect approach using Particle Swarm … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 7 Feb 2012 · 6,951 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Method for Accuracy Assessment of Sub-Pixel Classification ResultsH. Emami, B. MojaradiProblem statement: Classification accuracy assessment is the main stage of information extraction to evaluate the performance of a classifier. According to the output's classifiers (thematic map/fraction map), a properly strategy for accuracy assessment should be taken into consideration. Since pure pixels are used in traditional accuracy assessment of full pixel classifiers they are not suitable for assessment of sub-pixel classifiers. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2009 · 7,475 accessesView PDF Cite
