Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHands-On Fire Extinguisher Training Apparatuses: Expert Evaluations of Two Propane Fire Simulators and Air-Pressurized Water ExtinguishersAwwad Dababneh, Abdul Jaleel Hamad Majeed, Rami H. FouadTwenty-two expert firefighting professionals were used in evaluating four methods for fire extinguisher hands-on training. Two different fire simulators were put into service along with two conditions for the fighting distance; keeping a distance of 2.44 m (8ft.) away from the base of the fire and having no restriction on getting closer to the fire. The fire simulators both utilized … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 27 Jul 2017 · 7,660 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleWeb-Enabled Framework for Real-Time Scheduler Simulator: A Teaching ToolC. Yaashuwanth, R. RameshProblem statement: A Real-Time System (RTS) is one which controls an environment by receiving data, processing it, and returning the results quickly enough to affect the functioning of the environment at that time. The main objective of this research was to develop an architectural model for the simulation of real time tasks to implement in distributed environment through web, and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2010 · 7,273 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDDRSHARP: A Fast and Extensible DRAM SimulatorTesfamichael Gebregziabher Gebrehiwot, Fitsum Assamnew Andargie, Mohammed IsmailDynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) is a crucial component of modern computing systems and there exist a variety of DRAM standards. The variance in DRAM architecture calls for an extensible simulator to accommodate current and future DRAM standards. Moreover, as every researcher may not be an expert in programming, choosing an easier programming language to construct a simulator would reduce the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 7 · 16 Jun 2023 · 5,747 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSimulation of Production of Anhydrous Bioethanol using Glycerol and 1-Butyl-3-Methylimidazolyl-Tetrafluoroborate in the Aspen Plus SimulatorJosé Izaquiel Santos da Silva, Lílian da Silva Félix, Mariana Martins Vieira et al.Biofuels are present in the global scenario as an energy source derived from organic biomass, representing an economic and environmental alternative. They are a renewable source of energy with low rates of pollutants emissions and, consequently, less carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. The obtaining of bioethanol is originated from a fermentation process, in which a multi-component mix is … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 16 Jun 2021 · 7,109 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFeedback Control of Quad-Rotors with a Matlab-Based SimulatorStephen Armah, Sun Yi, Wonchang Choi, Dongchul ShinPrecise regulation of position and attitude (roll, pitch and yaw) is one of the most critical tasks to be considered in designing controllers for quadrotor types of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The MATLAB-based simulator for quadrotors using PD-feedback control to achieve stabilization was developed. MATLAB/Simulink models are used to design and validate the control algorithms and the simulation results are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 6 · 23 Jun 2016 · 7,865 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLow Cost Shooting Simulator Based on a Single Board ComputerAryuanto Soetedjo, Ali Mahmudi, Mochammad Ibrahim Ashari, Yusuf Ismail NakhodaThis paper proposes the camera on weapon system used as the shooting simulator. The single board computer (Raspberry Pi module) is used as the main processor. The OpenCV is implemented on the embedded system to perform the image processing task.
