Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMultiresolution Analysis Based Effective Diagnosis of Induction MotorsHouda Ben Attia Sethom, Mediha Ajjabi GhedamsiProblem statement: Effective detection and localization of unbalance voltage supply affecting an induction motor may be compromised in presence of additionnal noise. Approach: In order to overcome the non possibility of the default detection and localization in presence of noise, the use of the discrete wavelet transform and especially the MultiResolution Analysis algorithm, to remove efficiently the noise associated to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 20 Feb 2012 · 8,102 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Innovative Method for Recognizing Face Expressions Based on Genetic Algorithm and Extreme Learning Based Hybrid ModelTushar Dhar Shukla, Md Oqail Ahmad, Puneet Sapra et al.The detection of facial action coding system Action Units (AU) and other facial expressions has been a major focus of computer science for more than 20 years categorizing discrete emotional states based on facial expressions. While several widely used face expression databases exist, standardization and comparability remain key challenges. The lack of a universally recognized assessment procedure and insufficient information … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 2 · 18 Jan 2025 · 7,293 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRemoval and Recovery of Lead from Aqueous Solution by Low Cost MediaLucia Pappalardo, Fawwaz Jumean, Naser AbdoProblem statement: To remove Pb(II) from wastewater using local UAE sand and then to recover the removed Pb(II). Approach: Removal efficiency of Pb(II) from wastewater was investigated using white, yellow and red United Arab Emirates sand with pore sizes < 300 μm. Two methods were employed: batch equilibrium and column filtration. In the batch equilibrium study, the effect of sand … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 26 May 2011 · 6,911 accessesView PDF Cite
