Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsClose Range Photogrammetry and Neural Network for Facial RecognitionRami Al-Ruzouq, Shatha KadhimRecently, there has been an increasing interest in utilizing imagery in different fields such as archaeology, architecture, mechanical inspection and biometric identifiers where face recognition considered as one of the most important physiological characteristics that is related to the shape and geometry of the faces and used for identification and verification of a person's identity. In this study, close range … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 13 Aug 2012 · 7,319 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsProbabilistic Artificial Neural Network For Recognizing the Arabic Hand Written CharactersKhalaf khatatneh, Ibrahiem M.M. El Emary, Basem Al-RifaiThe objective of this study was to present a new technique assists in developing a recognition system for handling the Arabic Hand Written text. The proposed system is called Arabic Hand Written Optical Character Recognition (AHOCR). AHOCR was concerned with recognition of hand written Alphanumeric Arabic characters. In the present work, extracted characters are represented by using geometric moment invariant … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2006 · 6,911 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTransient Stability Assessment of a Power System Using Probabilistic Neural NetworkNoor Izzri Abdul Wahab, Azah MohamedThis study presents transient stability assessment of electrical power system using Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) and principle component analysis. Transient stability of a power system is first determined based on the generator relative rotor angles obtained from time domain simulation outputs. Simulations were carried out on the IEEE 9-bus test system considering three phase faults on the system. The data … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2008 · 7,027 accessesView PDF Cite
