Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Unique Novel Approach for Design and Analysis of A Robust Decentralized Self-Tuning Fuzzy PI Controller for a Multi Input Multi Output ProcessP. Sujatha Therese, N. Kesavan NairProblem statement: In the real world most of the controlled processes in industries are Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) in nature. They have more than a single controlled variable that should be manipulated in order to achieve the desired control performance. Approach: Control of non linear Multi Input Multi Output processes, it is a difficult task because of the non stationary behaviour, substantial … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 17 Jan 2012 · 7,008 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleTakagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Gains Scheduled PI Controller for Enhancement of Power System StabilityLokman H. Hassan, M. Moghavvemi, Haider A.F. MohamedProblem statement: Power system oscillations affect system stability and may lead to failure if not properly controlled. Approach: A Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Gains Scheduled Proportional and Integral (FGPI) controller was proposed for a Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC)-based stabilizer to enhance the power system stability. Linguistic rules and fuzzy inference mechanism are utilized to tune the controller parameters on-line in different … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,545 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Classical Design Approach of Cascaded Controllers for a Traction ElevatorUko Victor Sorochi, Kamalu Ugochukwu Anamelechi, Nwokocha Doris Adaugo, Uko Ebenezer UgochukwuA traction elevator is a control system that can be driven by Direct Current (DC) motors. Premised on the reviewed literature, operations of control systems incorporated with DC motors are restrained by nonlinearities that deviate the controlled variables (position, speed, and torque) from the reference input. Controllers designed with appropriate gains annul the nonlinearities inhibiting the operation of a traction … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 3 · 16 Aug 2023 · 6,029 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleController Design for Steer-by-Wire SystemSalahaddin M. Sahboun, Abdulrahman A. A. EmhemedThis study would address the suitability, adaptability and the efficiency of the electronically - controlled Steer-by-Wire (SbW) technology. Future steering technology heading for a fault tolerant and fail-safe steering system with enviable recoverability; electronically - controlled SbW with a back-up would be the best option to meet these demands. With mechanical connections between the hand wheel and front axle gradually … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 24 Jan 2022 · 6,798 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTrajectory Tracking Control of UR5 Robot Manipulator Using Fuzzy Gain Scheduling Terminal Sliding Mode ControllerAndualem Welabo, Gebremichael TesfamariamrIn dealing with the trajectory tracking control of robotic manipulator many scholars have had to work in a sliding mode controller. However, SMC has two major limitations one is chattering the other is asymptotical convergence. The chattering problem occurs in traditional SMC due to the switching function of the discontinuous controller and the constant gain parameter of K. Though in … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 24 Jul 2020 · 11,722 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImproved Fuzzy Logic Controller Implemented on FPGA Circuit for Photovoltaic SystemsAouatif Ibnelouad, Abdeljalil Elkari, Hassan Ayad, Mostafa MjahedTo be the photovoltaic arrays capable to transport the maximum power obtainable, it must be combined with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). To succeed, we will improve a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method, based on intelligent technique such as Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), compared with a conventional method which is P&O. This improved method applied to a stand-alone photovoltaic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 5 · 5 Jun 2020 · 7,525 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePassive Approach for Fault Tolerant Controller Using Hybrid Controller Structure for Effective Level Control of Conical Tank SystemHimanshukumar R. Patel, Vipul A. ShahThe Article Propose An Efficacious Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) Strategy Using The Hybrid Controller Structure To Establish Stable And Tracking Control With Two Faults Constrain In The Area Of Two Tank Canonical Non-Interacting Level Control System (TTCNILCS). Many Process Industries Use Canonical Tanks Because Of Its Varying Cross-Section Area Which Contributes Better Throughput From An Outlet For Different Material.
