Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Comparison of Two On-demand Routing Protocols for Ad-hoc Networks based on Random Way Point Mobility ModelGeetha Jayakumar, G. GopinathAd hoc networks are characterized by multihop wireless connectivity, frequently changing network topology and the need for efficient dynamic routing protocols plays an important role. We compare the performance of two prominent on-demand routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks: Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), Ad Hoc On-demand distance Vector Routing (AODV). A detailed simulation model with MAC and physical layer … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,692 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Stable Weight-Based on Demand Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkOon Chong Hsi, Azizol AbdullahProblem statement: A MANET is an autonomous collection of mobile users that communicate over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. Since the nodes are mobile, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. Approach: A Stable Weight-based On demand Routing Protocol (SWORP) that uses the weight-based route strategy to select a stable route was created by Wang. But SWORP … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2009 · 6,928 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLink Stability with Energy Aware Ad Hoc on Demand Multipath Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksSenthil Murugan Tamilarasan, Kannan EswariahMobile Ad Hoc Network is one of the wireless network in which mobile nodes are communicate with each other and have no infrastructure because no access point. The MANET protocols can be classified as proactive and reactive routing protocol. The proactive routing protocols, all nodes which participated in network have routing table. This table updated periodically and is used to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,505 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Optimized Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol for Wireless NetworksV. Ponniyin Selvan, S. Senthil KumarProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) is communication network made up of mesh routers and mesh clients, with mesh routers forming the backbone of the network. The WMN can be accessed by other networks through gateways and bridging functions in the mesh routers. The mesh clients can either be static or mobile with an option of forming a client mesh … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 21 Jun 2012 · 7,166 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEvaluation of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol in HetMAN ArchitectureZahian Ismail, Rosilah HassanProblem statement: Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), a type of network with special characteristics, needs a special mechanism to bear with its ad hoc behavior. Approach: The important issue in MANET is routing protocol. Routing protocol is a standard used to determine the route path taken during the transmission of data. Results: In this study we focused on the Ad … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 6,332 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrated Metric-Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector: A Routing Protocol over Wireless Mesh NetworksMd. Arafatur Rahman, Farhat Anwar, Md. Saiful AzadProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is an emerging technology for wireless environment. Since WMNs are permanent or semi-permanent network, an efficient and reliable path establishment is the core concern for such type of networks. Several performance metrics has been designed for WMNs such as Expected Transmission Count (ETX), Expected Transmission Time (ETT), interference Aware Routing Metric (iAWARE), Link Type … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,493 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF RANDOMIZED REVERSE AD HOC ON DEMAND DISTANCE VECTOR ROUTING PROTOCOL IN MANETK. Santhi, B. ParvathavarthiniIn high mobility, routing in Mobile Ad-Hoc Network is a very difficult task. In AODV and RAODV, all the data packets are travel through the same shortest path so the intruders can easily trace out the data path. The main objective of Randomized RAODV provides the multipath and then the paths are selected randomly for security purposes. Using randomized routing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 30 Apr 2014 · 6,809 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsQUEUEING MODELS IN MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORKSS. Baskar, S. PalaniammalThe Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) has gain an essential part of the attention of researchers and become very well-liked in last few years. MANETs can operate with no fixed communications and can live rapid changes in the network topology. They can be studied officially as graphs in which the set of boundaries varies in time. One of the main methods … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 26 Dec 2013 · 6,819 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsQuality of Service Aware Reverse Pathad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector ProtocolK. G. Santhiya, N. ArumugamMobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is aninfra structureless network that does not require any built-in infra structure and central control. Due to very fast mobility of nodes, there will be drastic changes in the network topology. So an adaptive routing protocol is needed for effective and reliable routing in MANET. Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is the efficient and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 20 Sep 2012 · 7,061 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Secure Routing Protocol to Eliminate Integrity, Authentication and Sleep Deprivation Based Threats in Mobile Ad hoc NetworkEdna Elizabeth Nallathambi, Radha Sankararajan, Vaithiyanathan Sundaram, Gracelin SheebaProblem statement: Network security in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a major issue. Some of the attacks such as modification, impersonation, Time To Live (TTL) and sleep deprivation are due to misbehaviour of malicious nodes, which disrupts the transmission. Some of the existing security protocols such as ARAN, SAODV and SEAD are basically used to detect and eliminate one … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,817 accessesView PDFCite
