Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleTemperature Effect on Uncooled Semiconductor Laser Diode to the Network Performance SystemMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Nurain Izzati ShuhaimiProblem statement: The characteristics of a laser diode are highly dependent on the temperature of the laser chip. Thus, the effect of temperature on the network performance of uncooled semiconductor laser diode are studied by simulating its equivalent electrical circuit, developed from the rate equations that governing optical components directly into an electrical simulation framework. Approach: The simulations are carried … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 8 Feb 2012 · 6,621 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleThe Influences of Connectors and Adaptors to Fiber-To-The-Home Network PerformanceMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Mastang, Kasmiran JumariProblem statement: The reliability of the entire communications network was dependent on the reliability of each single element. Connector was important devices that can affect the performance of the fiber communication. There were a large number of issues that affect the performance of fiber optic connectors in today’s networks. These factors were increasingly as data rates, the number of wavelengths … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 9 Dec 2011 · 7,183 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAnt Colony Optimization Approaches in Wireless Sensor Network: Performance EvaluationHusna Jamal Abdul Nasir, Ku Ruhana Ku-Mahamud, Eiji KamiokaWireless Sensor Network (WSN) has been widely implemented in large sectors such as military, habitat, business, industrial, health and environment. WSN is part of a distributed system where elements such as routing, load balancing, energy efficiency, node localization, time synchronization, data aggregation and security need to be addressed to improve its efficiency, robustness, extendibility, applicability and reliability. Despite multiple approaches … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 6 · 24 Jun 2017 · 8,533 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparison of Multiple Linear Regression and Neural Network Models in Bank Performance Prediction in BotswanaHassan Kablay, Victor GumboBank performance is critical to the banking sector and the economy as a whole. In this study, Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) technique and feed forward Neural Network (NN) are used to predict the performance of 11 banks in Botswana. Return on Assets (RoA) is used as the dependent variable, while management quality, credit risk, liquidity, financial leverage and capital adequacy … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 17, Issue 1 · 10 Jan 2022 · 6,465 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOptimization and Prediction of Motorcycle Injection System Performance with Feed-Forward Back-Propagation Method Artificial Neural Network (ANN)La Ode Ichlas Syahrullah, Nazaruddin SinagaThis research studied the use of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) using feed-forward back-propagation model to optimize and predict the performance of a motorcycle fuel injection systems of gasoline. The parameters such as speed, throttle position, ignition timing and injection timing is used as the input parameters. While the parameters of fuel consumption and engine torque is used as the output … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 16 Feb 2016 · 13,784 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePERFORMANCE OF TOPOLOGY AWARE RELIABLE ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR LARGE SCALE VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORKJayanthi Gokulakrishnan, V. Thulasi BaiA network which merges the usage of the public and the private networks and uses security software for the purpose of compressing, encrypting and masking the digital packets that are being transmitted in the network is called as Virtual Private Network (VPN).
