Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleContributions Concerning Muscle Training in Professionnal VolleyballNiculescu Mugurel, Niculescu Ionela, Amzăr Elena LuminiţaProblem statement: Complex muscle training, less known to our specialists, has proved that, by complying with all the stages proposed, high level results may be achieved. The performances, weaker and weaker, obtained by the Romanian teams call for measures of optimization and Specific Physical Training (SPT) in accordance to technical -tactical training. Physical training should be individualized and multiplied, under … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 16 Jul 2011 · 7,311 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBiomechanically Inspired Machines, Driven by Muscle Like Acting NiTi AlloysAntonio Apicella, Raffaella Aversa, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuThe Shape of the Memory Alloy (SMA) is a very promising class of metallic materials with interesting non-linear properties such as Pseudo-Elasticity (PE), memory (MEM) and damping capacity due to high mechanical hysteresis and internal friction. Research shows a bioinventory approach to Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) design, a class of intelligent materials capable of reacting to a pulse (thermal for … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 23 May 2018 · 8,279 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIndividualization Training of Players on Positions at the Level of Handball Junior TeamsPitigoi GabrielProblem statement: Starting from the observation that for the handball players, who finished the junior state in hard to integrate in senior teams due to a low level of preparation. I hypothesized that at this level we can use all organizational forms of individual training (frontal relation, group level, individual).Using individual records, performance behavior characteristics of the players to positions, … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 16 Jul 2011 · 7,230 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEffect of Exercise Training on Adiponectin Receptor Expression and Insulin Resistance in Mice Fed a High Fat DietNaglaa Fathy Alhusseini, Nasr Arafat Belacy, Enas Mohammed Kasem, Mona Maher AllamProblem statement: Adiponectin is an adipocyte secreted hormones, exerts its effects via the specific receptors. AdipoR1 and adipoR2 and plays a pivotal role in lipid and glucose metabolism. Approach: We investigated the effect of increased physical activities on insulin resistance and if this effect is modulated through adiponectin receptor expression. Results: We also assessed the effect of High Fat Diet … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2010 · 9,951 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProgressive Resistance Training on Elderly HIV+ Patients: Does it Work?Paula Maria Loiola De Souza, Wilson Jacob Filho, José Maria Santarém et al.Elderly people present significant alterations on body composition and physical fitness, compromising their quality of life. Chronic diseases, including HIV/AIDS, worsen this situation by increasing aging effects on body composition and muscle strength. Resistance exercises are prescribed by major health organizations for improving fitness and promoting a shift towards a healthier and more independent aging. In addition, recovering strength and … …American Journal of Infectious Diseases, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2008 · 6,740 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBiomechanically Inspired Shape Memory Effect Machines Driven by Muscle like Acting NiTi AlloysRaffaella Aversa, Francesco Tamburrino, Relly Victoria V. Petrescu et al.The research shows a bioinspired approach to be adopted to design of systems based on Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs), a class of Smart Materials that has in common with muscles the capability to react to an impulse (thermal for SMAs) with a contraction. The biomechanically inspired machine that is discussed in the paper refers to the antagonistic muscles pairs, which … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 11 · 24 Nov 2016 · 9,109 accessesView PDFCite
