Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Challenge for Routing Algorithms in Optical Multistage Interconnection NetworksMehrnaz Moudi, Mohamed OthmanProblem statement: A class of dynamic interconnection networks is Multistage Interconnection Networks (MINs) that connects input devices to output devices through a number of switch stages. MINs have assumed importance in recent years; because of their cost-effectiveness. Optical MINs are one type of MINs that have large transmission capacity in the communication networks. There is a major problem in Optical … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 29 Aug 2011 · 7,852 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleIrregular Class of Multistage Interconnection Network in Parallel ProcessingSandeep Sharma, K. S. Kahlon, P. K. Bansal, Kawaljeet SinghA major problem in designing a large-scale parallel and distributed system was the construction of an Interconnection Network (IN) to provide inter-processor communication. One of the biggest issues in the development of such a system was the development of an effective architecture and algorithms that have high reliability, give good performance (even in the presence of faults), low cost, low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,057 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDesign and Bandwidth Analysis of Fault-Tolerant Multistage Interconnection NetworksR. Aggarwal, L. KaurThe design of a suitable interconnection network for inter-processor communication is one of the key issues of the system performance. In this study a new irregular interconnection network IABN (Irregular Augmented Baseline) has been proposed. IABN is designed by modifying existing ABN (Augmented Baseline Network). ABN is a regular multi-path network with limited fault tolerance. IABN provides three times more … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,830 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEFFECTIVE HEURISTIC ALGORITHM FOR DYNAMIC ROUTING AND BANDWIDTH MANAGEMENT UNDER QUALITY OF SERVICE CONSTRAINTS IN MULTISTAGE INTERCONNECTION NETWORKSR. Deepalakshmi, S. RajaramToday, Internet of Things (IoT) has introduced abundant bandwidth consumption and necessities in multimedia communications from online games to video-conferencing applications with the constraint of QoS requirements from time to time. The expected rapid proliferation of services would require performance unprecedented in the currently available best-effort routing algorithms. In, particular, the present routing mechanisms are based on the best-effort paradigm … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 7 Jan 2014 · 7,138 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDesign and Simulation of an Input Queuing Packet SwitchAzeddine Bilami, Mustapha Lalam, Mohamed BenmohammedMany Architectures of Internet routers, ATM and Ethernet switches have been proposed and analysed in literature. Theoretically reliable and valid solutions have been developed to achieve high performances, but a lot of them are not feasible in practice for commercial and technological reasons. Few papers develop the implementation and simulation aspects. The objective of this study is the design of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 19 Sep 2005 · 6,926 accessesView PDF Cite
