Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Secure Unicast/Multicast Authentication and Key Distribution Protocols for Smart GridSamah Mohamed Sayed, Heba Kamal Aslan, Ayman Mohamed HassanThis study discusses the problem of key distribution protocol in IoT systems especially smart grids for two modes of communication: Unicast and multicast. In the present paper, we suggested two protocols for key distribution for both unicast and multicast communication. The proposed schemes are based on symmetric key encryption with cryptographic primitives: Hashes and nonces. In addition, the multicast key … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 4 · 4 Jan 2023 · 5,424 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMulticast Node Communication Using Virtual Queue with Process SchedulingS. Sumalatha, G. Sreenivasulu, G. Uday Kiran BhargavaMulticast technique is used to transmit node data from one source node to many destination nodes simultaneously and establish a communication in the network. In multicasting communication, node network packet collision occurrence is a frequent problem in real time network system. The node packet collision avoidance using virtual queue with process scheduling is discussed in this study and proposed central … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 28 Jan 2015 · 6,176 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMULTICAST ROUTING WITH QUALITY OF SERVICE CONSTRAINTS IN THE AD HOC WIRELESS NETWORKSAbdellah Idrissi, Fadoua YakineThe recent multimedia applications and services are very demanding in terms of Quality of Service (QoS). This creates new challenges in ensuring QoS when delivering those services over wireless networks. Motivated by the need of supporting high quality multicast applications in wireless ad hoc networks, we propose a network topology that can minimize the power when connecting the source node … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 30 Apr 2014 · 6,890 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMulticast-Supported Fast Handover for Proxy Mobile IPv6V. Berlin Hency, D. SridharanProxy Mobile IPv6 is a network-based mobility management protocol which is attractive as it does not require the participation of mobile nodes in mobility-related signaling. Unlike the host based approaches like Mobile IPv6, in PMIPv6 the Mobility Access Gateway (MAG) is responsible for tracking the movements of Mobile Node (MN) and to initiate the handover process. In this study, a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 27 Apr 2013 · 6,306 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnd to End Delay Improvement in Heterogeneous Multicast Network using Genetic OptimizationV. Chandrasekar, K. BaskaranProblem statement: Multicast is a concept of group communication which refers to transmitting the same data or messages from a source to multiple destinations in the network. This one-to-many group communication is a generalization of the concepts of one-to-one unicast and one-to-all broadcast. To deliver data from the sender to all receivers efficiently, routing plays an important role in multicast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 13 Aug 2012 · 6,733 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEfficient Star Topology based Multicast Key Management AlgorithmK. Saravanan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: Secure group communication is very important for many applications such as internet pay sites. It provides efficient delivery of identical data to only the customers in the group. In large and dynamic multicast groups, the group keys of members have to be changed frequently whenever the member leaves or joins. A common method is to apply a symmetric … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 22 Mar 2012 · 7,344 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRange Detection Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksR. Velumani, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Many efforts have been implemented towards the Group membership management on multicast routing in MANETs, but the difficulties associated with Group membership management are still existed. Approach: Maintaining endurance of Group Leader (GL) in multicasting routing has been a great challenge to all the protocol having been invented so far. Results: This study provides the RDMP algorithm for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 10 Feb 2012 · 6,486 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImpact of Sybil and Wormhole Attacks in Location Based Geographic Multicast Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor NetworksShyamala Ramachandran, Valli ShanmuganProblem statement: Wireless sensor networks have been used in many applications, such as home automation, military surveillances and entity tracking systems. The sensor nodes have low computational capabilities and are highly resource constrained. Routing protocols of wireless sensor networks are prone to various routing attacks, such as black hole, rushing, wormhole, Sybil and denial of service attacks. Approach: The objective … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 6,982 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Fast Handover Scheme for Multicasting in IPv6 based Mobile Ad hoc NetworksH. Parveen Sultana, M. Pounambal, Dr. P. Venkata KrishnaProblem statement: In the previous researches, steps were taken to resolve the problems of multicasting, after several discussions. Actually these issues were raised, while multicasting packets from Internet Protocol (IP) to Mobile Nodes (MN). On the other hand, there is very little concern about the problem of packet loss reduction. Sometimes the occurrence of multicast service chaos is ignored during … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 16 Dec 2010 · 7,241 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Analysis of Power Aware Congestion Control Multipath Multicast Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NetworkDuraiswamy Karuppaswamy, Vijayaragavan ShanmugamProblem statement: In MANETs, wireless link transmission errors, mobility and congestion are major causes for packet loss. Mobility may cause packet loss in different ways. Whereas congestion in a network occurs, whenever the demands exceed the maximum capacity of a communication link especially when multiple hosts try to access a shared media simultaneously. Approach: In this study, we proposed a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 2 Nov 2010 · 7,038 accessesView PDFCite
