Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCluster Computing: A Mobile Code ApproachR. B. Patel, Manpreet SinghCluster computing harnesses the combined computing power of multiple processors in a parallel configuration. Cluster Computing environments built from commodity hardware have provided a cost-effective solution for many scientific and high-performance applications. In this paper we have presented design and implementation of a cluster based framework using mobile code. The cluster implementation involves the designing of a server named MCLUSTER … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2006 · 6,714 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMESSAGE AUTHENTICATION CODE BASED SECURE GROUP KEY MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKST. Peer Meera Labbai, V. RajamaniA mobile ad hoc network is a group of nodes which are communicating with each other with the use of radio frequencies. When there is high movement of mobile nodes, the nodes find difficult to reach other nodes. If the data are exchanged between nodes when there is high mobility, the data may be lost in transit. Therefore the security … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,727 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn M-Learning System Based on Mobile Phones and Quick Response CodesHend S. Al-KhalifaProblem statement: Many instructors in academia wish to know how much their students understand the content of the lecture; however, doing this manually will be very difficult and time consuming. Similarly, most students have communication problems with their instructors and they wish if they can ask their questions without any fear. So a need for a technology to bridge these … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2011 · 6,931 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSECURE COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL FOR PROTECTING COMPUTATION RESULT OF FREE ROAMING MOBILE AGENTG. Geetha, C. JayakumarMobile agent plays an important role in developing applications of open, distributed and mixed environments, such as the internet. Mobile agent or mobile software agent is piece of software that can operate autonomously to accomplish user assigned task. To explain more, mobile agent is the process which can migrate to hosts autonomously. As an agent travels to do execution in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 19 Feb 2014 · 6,800 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPragmatic Approach to Modeling and Generating Mobile Cross-Platform ApplicationsMohamed Lachgar, Khalid Lamhaddab, Abdelmounaim Abdali, Khalid ElbaamraniAs a result of the ubiquity of smartphones, the number of mobile applications is extensively growing. In order to build native apps that reach all devices, developers should deal with many different operating systems, SDKs, development tools and programming languages, which implies serious effects on cost, time and success of the mobile project. In this study, the main objective is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 28 Mar 2019 · 7,357 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Fuzzy Logic Based Power Control for Wideband Code Division Multiple Access Wireless NetworksN. Mohan, T. RavichandranProblem statement: Resource management is one of the most important engineering issues in 3G systems where multiple traffic classes are supported each being characterized by its required Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. Call Admission Control (CAC) is one of the resource management functions, which regulates network access to ensure QoS provisioning. Efficient CAC is necessary for the QoS provisioning in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 4 Aug 2012 · 6,755 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSecure Antnet Routing Algorithm for Scalable Adhoc Networks Using Elliptic Curve CryptographyV. Vijayalakshmi, T. G. PalaniveluThe secure end-to-end route discovery in the decentralized Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) should have to meet the requirements of prevention of DoS attacks on data traffic, should be adaptive and fault tolerant and must have high speed, low energy overhead and scalability for future development. In this research a secure routing using antnet mechanism and mutual authentication using Elliptic Curve … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,951 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOne Time Password (OTP) Solution for Two Factor Authentication: A Practical Case StudyOscar Efrén Acosta Mayorga, Sang Guun YooCurrently, static passwords are no longer secure, they expose accounts and data, more advanced and sophisticated approaches are required to guarantee user authentication and operations in digital systems. In this context, this study investigates how in a practical application, addressing security challenges in user authentication using One Time Passwords (OTP) can strengthen two-Factor Authentication (2FA), the use of a sec … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 5 · 26 Apr 2025 · 8,452 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproving the Exploration Strategy of an Automated Android GUI Testing Tool based on the Q-Learning Algorithm by Selecting Potential ActionsGoh Kwang Yi, Salmi Binti Baharom, Jamilah DinResearchers have proposed automated testing tools to minimise the effort and resources spent on testing GUIs. A relatively simple strategy employed by the proposed tools thus far is the observe-select-execute approach, where all of a GUI’s actions on its current state are observed, one action is selected and the selected action is executed on the software. The strategy’s key function … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 2 · 2 Mar 2022 · 6,783 accessesView PDFCite
