Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDesign, Validation, Simulation and Parametric Evaluation of a Novel Protocol for Locating Mobile Agents in Multiregion EnvironmentRama Sushil, Kumkum Garg, Rama BhargavaMobile agents are processes that can be dispatched from source computer and be transported to remote servers for execution, have been widely argued to be an important enabling technology for future systems. Location management is a necessity for locating mobile agents in a network of mobile agent hosts for controlling, monitoring and communication during processing and it still represents an … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,936 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMobile Agents in Heterogeneous Networks: A Look on PerformanceR. B. Patel, Neeraj GoelMobile agents can be seen as a new paradigm for distributed computing. One characteristic of mobile agents is their autonomy and pro-activity. This article present a framework designed on top of PMADE (Platform for Mobile Agent Distribution and Execution) to support our research in this domain. Our framework consists of three modules. The Map Module collects information on the available … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2006 · 6,490 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Network Management Framework Using Mobile AgentsJonathan Lefebvre, Steven Chamberland, Samuel PierreNetwork management of heterogeneous networks is still hard to achieve automatically and efficiently. In this study, we present a framework that has the ability to perform network management tasks on heterogeneous networks using mobile agents. This framework handles the inability of many network devices to run mobile agents. While the main focus of the project is the framework, we present … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 7,026 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleUSING MOBILE AGENTS FOR LOAD BALANCING IN PEER-TO-PEER SYSTEMS HOSTING VIRTUAL SERVERSVijayaKumar G. Dhas, S. Saibharath, V. Rhymend UthariarajThis study proposes a novel load-balancing algorithm for managing virtual servers in a Peer-To-Peer (P2P) system through mobile agents. The proposed algorithm is implemented in a fully decentralized manner for a structured P2P system. It uses mobile agents and is independent of the geometry of the P2P auxiliary networks. The load-balancing algorithm effectively reduces the load imbalance of the system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 27 Jan 2014 · 6,353 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleResearch on Security Protocol for Collaborating Mobile Agents in Network Intrusion Detection SystemsOlumide Simeon Ogunnusi, Shukor Abd RazakDespite the popularity of mobile agents in academic and commercial arena, the security issues associated with them have hindered their adoption on large scale distributed applications. However, researchers are making relentless effort to overcome the security impediments so that the interesting properties inherent in mobile agent application, especially in the field of intrusion detection, can be harnessed. Such properties include: … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2013 · 6,702 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleRetrieving Information from the Invisible Web Using Mobile AgentsFabien-Kenzo Sato, Samuel Pierre, Roch H. GlithoThis study proposes a model of information retrieval on the invisible Web by using the mobile agent paradigm. The developed architecture uses the power of a search engine to provide a list of sites of the invisible Web which are likely to be relevant and launches a dynamic search on these sites, thanks to mobile agents. To compare and experiment … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,839 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDynamic Distributed Intrusion Detection System Based on Mobile Agents with Fault ToleranceR. Sasikumar, D. ManjulaProblem statement: In earlier days, each and every individual system has particular IDS to the particular system and due to this particular technique there are many drawbacks and much more drawbacks in the system side networks. “All processes used in discovery of unauthorized uses of network or computer devices” Detection of unusual and abnormal activity/events in real-time. Detects break-ins or … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 26 May 2012 · 6,929 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMobile Agents in Wireless LAN and Cellular Data NetworksR. B. Patel, V. K. Katiyar, Vishal GargAdvancing technology in wireless communication offers users anytime, anywhere access to information and network resources without restricting them to the fixed network infrastructure. Mobile computing represents a shift in the distributed systems paradigm. The potential of decoupled and disconnected operation, location-dependent computation and communication and powerful portable computing devices gives rise to opportunities for new patterns of distributed computation that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 7,083 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDISTRIBUTION OF LOAD USING MOBILE AGENT IN DISTRIBUTED WEB SERVERSVijayakumar G. Dhas, V. Rhymend UthariarajThe continuing growth of the World-Wide Web is placing increasing demands on popular Web servers. Many of the sites are now using distributed Web servers (i.e., groups of machines) to service the increasing number of client requests, as a single server cannot handle the workload. Incoming client requests must be distributed in some fashion among the machines in the distributed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 5 · 28 Feb 2014 · 6,590 accessesView PDFCite
