Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Reconfigurable Execution Core for Merged DSP MicrocontrollerA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherThe study presents an execution core which can be reconfigured either for calculation of digital convolution or for computation of discrete orthogonal transform by appropriate local buffer initialization of processing cells. It is shown that the data flow pattern can be changed by a single bit control signal. The proposed core can be connected to port 1 of Intel 8051 … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2007 · 6,483 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDesign of a Merged DSP Microcontroller for Embedded Systems using Discrete Orthogonal TransformA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherIn this paper we have proposed the design of a DSP microcontroller where the processor load is significantly reduced by relegating the math-intensive DSP algorithm to dedicated transform computing modules. It is shown that the use of such transform modules will facilitate scalability, reusability and flexibility for implementation of wide varieties of DSP functionalities. Moreover, it would be possible to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,918 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Edge Efficient and Lightweight Hybrid CNN Vision Transformer Network With CBAM for IoT Based Plant Disease DetectionNyabeye Pangop Doris-Khöler, Kengni Ngangmo OlgaDetecting crop disease early enough to act on it remains a bottleneck for smallholder and precision farming alike, particularly when diagnosis depends on manual inspection or lab analysis that cannot keep pace with an outbreak. We present AgriViTNet, a compact CNN-Vision Transformer hybrid built for exactly this constraint: It extracts local texture cues through convolution, relates them across the whole … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 20 Sep 2026 · 578 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Multi-Modal Image Fusion Approach for Visual and Infrared Images via Shearlet-Based DecompositionApoorav Sharma, Shagun Sharma, Kalpna Guleria et al.The integration of optical lens technologies with night vision has become necessary due to the increasing demand to enhance public safety and surveillance, particularly in vulnerable areas, public transportation, and airports. Due to vision clarity issues or the lack of thermal information, conventional single-modality systems often fail to detect concealed dangers. This research presents a multimodal image fusion architecture that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 2 Feb 2026 · 1,899 accessesView PDF Cite
