Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Discrete Optimization Description for the Solutions in the Matching ProblemWalied H. SharifThis study was concerned with the characterization of solutions in the matching problem. The general mixed-integer programming problem is given together with the definition of the convex hull of the integer solutions. In addition, the matching problem is defined as an integer problem and an algorithm is described to find the optimum matchings. Some illustrative examples are introduced to clarify … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,896 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Fast Hybrid Algorithm Approach for the Exact String Matching Problem Via Berry Ravindran and Alpha Skip Search AlgorithmsAbdulwahab Ali AlmazroiProblem statement: String matching algorithm had been an essential means for searching biological sequence database. With the constant expansion in scientific data such as DNA and Protein; the development of enhanced algorithms have even become more critical as the major concern had always been how to raise the performances of these search algorithms to meet challenges of scientific information. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,398 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Fast Hybrid Algorithm for the Exact String Matching ProblemAbdulwahab Ali Al-mazroi, Nur’Aini Abdul RashidProblem statement: Due to huge amount and complicated nature of data being generated recently, the usage of one algorithm for string searching was not sufficient to ensure faster search and matching of patterns. So there is the urgent need to integrate two or more algorithms to form a hybrid algorithm (called BRSS) to ensure speedy results. Approach: This study proposes … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2011 · 8,240 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA New Algorithm for Subset Matching ProblemYangjun ChenThe subset matching problem is to find all occurrences of a pattern string p of length m in a text string t of length n, where each pattern and text position is a set of characters drawn from some alphabet ∑. The pattern is said to occur at text position i if the set p[j] is a subset of the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,737 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleParallel Algorithms for String Matching Problem on Single and Two Dimensional Reconfigurable Pipelined Bus SystemsS. Viswanadha Raju, A. Vinaya BabuWe considered string matching on LARPBS and 2D LARPBS. This has applications such as string databases, cellular automata and computational biology. The main use of this method is to reduce the time spent on comparisons in string matching by using LARPBS. We investigated exact string matching and approximate string matching problems. For these two sub problems, we obtained O (n) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,530 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDecision Support Model to Determine the Best Employees (Mechanic) using Fuzzy Logic and Profile MatchingHiromi Jorge Akbar Aljofarinski, Ditdit Nugeraha UtamaIn a company, verifying the best employees is practically very essential. Knowing the best employees or understanding each employee's performance can be an advantage for the company to evaluate the whole company's performance and improve the lack. Determining the best employees is also necessary for giving appreciation to employees and is expected to be able to expand the performance and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 6 · 24 Jun 2022 · 5,847 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractArabic Personal Name Matching: Names Written using Latin AlphabetAttia Nehar, Slimane Bellaouar, Djelloul Ziadi, Khaled Moulay OmarAbstract: In many Arab countries’ public administrations, Arabic personal names are written with Latin alphabet, generally, in various ways by different writers. This has led to many problems when it comes to connecting these administrations. The aim of this study was to propose two new approaches for the pairwise matching of Arabic personal names. The first approach is based on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 9 · 29 Sep 2021 · 7,602 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStudy of Mutual Coupling of Typical Commercial UHF RFID Tags in a High-Density EnvironmentGbamélé Konan Fernand, Akpata Edouard, Assamoi Claude Daniel et al.In the context of high-density passive UHF (Ultra High Frequency) RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag technology, the problem of mutual coupling has to be taken into account as one of the performance criteria of UHF RFID systems. In practical applications, mutual coupling changes the intrinsic parameters of the antennas attached to these tags, i.e., the impedance matching of the antenna … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 14 Oct 2022 · 6,578 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Pose Tracking based on Line Segment MatchingJunqiu Wang, Jingjing Cui, Yanjie Gao et al.Pose tracking is a crucial issue for many applications such as robotic tasks and facility operations. Vision-based approaches with non-contact properties are appropriate choices for these tasks. However, vision-based approaches are not sufficiently robust and fast. In this work, we propose a vision-based pose tracking to deal with these problems. We estimate poses using Lie group and Lie algebra representation … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 1 · 27 Dec 2018 · 7,848 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Better Approach to Ontology Integration using Clustering Through Global Similarity MeasureAshwin Makwana, Amit GanatraKnowledge representation is a crucial area of work in the intelligent system, especially in query answering system development. Ontology is used to represent shared knowledge of a particular domain for query answering system. Domain-specific ontology can be designed and developed by many groups and researchers, because of which there is heterogeneity in the knowledgebase. Ontology integration or merging is necessary … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 6 · 25 Jun 2018 · 8,227 accessesView PDFCite
