Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDental Color Matching: A Comparison between Visual and Digital Shade Selection Repeatability in the Anterior and Posterior Region: A Clinical StudyCarine Mounir Ziadeh, Pascale Habre, Lara Nasr, Helene HaddadThe clinical study aimed to evaluate the repeatability of the Intraoral Scanner (IOS) in terms of dental shade selection in comparison to the visual method and to find if the difference between these two methods is clinically acceptable. As well as to assess the impact of tooth position on the repeatability of the IOS in shade selection. Two experienced raters … …Current Research in Dentistry, Vol. 14, Issue 1 · 28 Apr 2023 · 7,048 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDecision Support Model to Determine the Best Employees (Mechanic) using Fuzzy Logic and Profile MatchingHiromi Jorge Akbar Aljofarinski, Ditdit Nugeraha UtamaIn a company, verifying the best employees is practically very essential. Knowing the best employees or understanding each employee's performance can be an advantage for the company to evaluate the whole company's performance and improve the lack. Determining the best employees is also necessary for giving appreciation to employees and is expected to be able to expand the performance and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 6 · 24 Jun 2022 · 5,847 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleArabic Personal Name Matching: Names Written using Latin AlphabetAttia Nehar, Slimane Bellaouar, Djelloul Ziadi, Khaled Moulay OmarAbstract: In many Arab countries’ public administrations, Arabic personal names are written with Latin alphabet, generally, in various ways by different writers. This has led to many problems when it comes to connecting these administrations. The aim of this study was to propose two new approaches for the pairwise matching of Arabic personal names. The first approach is based on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 9 · 29 Sep 2021 · 7,602 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOmni-Zernike Algorithm for Template Matching in Catadioptric SystemAnisse Khald, Amina Radgui, Mohammed RzizaImage descriptor have been widely applied in many computer visions and image understanding applications including pattern recognition, robotic, video surveillance, camera calibration and image retrieval, etc. Invariants features are robust when apply several transformations of photometry (illumination, blur, noise, JPEG compression) and transformations of geometry (scaling, rotation, translation and viewpoint change). In this study, we present representation and matching region … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 12 · 30 Dec 2020 · 6,501 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEvaluation of Subset Matching Methods: Evidence from a Monte Carlo Simulation StudyLateef Amusa, Temesgen Zewotir, Delia NorthIn the absence or infeasibility of experiments, matching methods have increasingly been used in making causal claims using observational data. This paper conducts a Monte Carlo simulation study, based on a household panel survey, to compare the performance of some widely used subset matching methods. The methods include the propensity score caliper matching, Mahalanobis distance matching, and coarsened exact matching. … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 3 · 11 Apr 2019 · 7,740 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnrolment and Matching of Fingerprints using Minutiae TreePraseetha V.M., S. VadivelAutomated fingerprint matching is considered as the most challenging phase of fingerprint recognition since it can be affected by a variety of factors such as noise, skin condition, rotation, distortions and displacements. When there is a large database, the search time to get a matching fingerprint will be relatively high. To reduce the searching time in the database, we have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 15 Mar 2019 · 7,566 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEfficient Pose Tracking based on Line Segment MatchingJunqiu Wang, Jingjing Cui, Yanjie Gao et al.Pose tracking is a crucial issue for many applications such as robotic tasks and facility operations. Vision-based approaches with non-contact properties are appropriate choices for these tasks. However, vision-based approaches are not sufficiently robust and fast. In this work, we propose a vision-based pose tracking to deal with these problems. We estimate poses using Lie group and Lie algebra representation … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 1 · 27 Dec 2018 · 7,848 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTracking Pointer and Look Ahead Matching Strategy to Evaluate Iceberg Driven QueryKale Sarika Prakash, P.M. Joe PrathapIceberg driven query is important and common in many applications of data mining and data warehousing. Main property of iceberg driven query is it extracts small set of data from huge database. It works on aggregation function followed by GROUP BY and HAVING clause. Due to involvement of aggregation function execution of iceberg driven query becomes tedious and complex work. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 3 · 17 Apr 2017 · 7,296 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleBlock-Matching Twitter Data for Traffic Event LocationAmal Shuqair, Samuel KozaitisWe used a block-matching approach that is data-driven and relies mostly on patterns of tagged speech in Twitter streams as a way to identify events in road traffic. Events are useful because their location may identify the status of road segments, especially when cross-street data are available. Basing a system on patterns that are not pre-defined has the advantage of … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 12 Apr 2017 · 7,616 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrating Correlation Clustering and Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering for Holistic Schema MatchingBasel Alshaikhdeeb, Kamsuriah AhmadHolistic schema matching is the process of carrying off several number of schemas as an input and outputs the correspondences among them. Treating large number of schemas may consume longer time with poor quality. Therefore, several clustering approaches have been proposed in order to reduce the search space by partitioning the data into smaller portions which can facilitate the matching … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 3 Apr 2015 · 6,389 accessesView PDFCite
