Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleThe Advantages of PID Fuzzy Controllers Over The Conventional TypesAbdullah I. Al-Odienat, Ayman A. Al-LawamaFuzzy logic controllers (FLC's) have the following advantages over the conventional controllers: they are cheaper to develop, they cover a wider range of operating conditions, and they are more readily customizable in natural language terms. A self-organizing fuzzy controller can automatically refine an initial approximate set of fuzzy rules. Application of PI-type fuzzy controller increases the quality factor. In this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 18,036 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDevelopment of Fuzzy Controller for Water Level in Stream Boiler TankSurachai PanichProblem statement: The process control of steam boiler is very popular used in the industrial. The temperature of the water is transferred directly by electrical heater. The pressure will increase based on the changing of the temperature. The purpose of the control is to change the opening set point for the valve when the temperature and pressure in the tank … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 23 Oct 2010 · 8,035 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTrajectory Tracking Control of UR5 Robot Manipulator Using Fuzzy Gain Scheduling Terminal Sliding Mode ControllerAndualem Welabo, Gebremichael TesfamariamrIn dealing with the trajectory tracking control of robotic manipulator many scholars have had to work in a sliding mode controller. However, SMC has two major limitations one is chattering the other is asymptotical convergence. The chattering problem occurs in traditional SMC due to the switching function of the discontinuous controller and the constant gain parameter of K. Though in … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 24 Jul 2020 · 11,717 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImproved Fuzzy Logic Controller Implemented on FPGA Circuit for Photovoltaic SystemsAouatif Ibnelouad, Abdeljalil Elkari, Hassan Ayad, Mostafa MjahedTo be the photovoltaic arrays capable to transport the maximum power obtainable, it must be combined with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). To succeed, we will improve a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method, based on intelligent technique such as Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), compared with a conventional method which is P&O. This improved method applied to a stand-alone photovoltaic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 5 · 5 Jun 2020 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLabview Based Autonomous Agricultural Robot Using Fuzzy Logic ControllerPrema Kannan, Senthil Kumar Natarajan, Subhransu Sekar DashThis study proposes a LabVIEW based autonomous agricultural robot which can be used for ploughing. The control logic is designed using fuzzy logic controller to operate the robot in autonomous mode. The robot can also be controlled from a remote place using internet and its position is monitored using Global Positioning System (GPS), Data Socket protocol and Wi-Fi connection. Two … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 24 Sep 2013 · 7,048 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDESIGN OF FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER FOR ONLINE SPEED REGULATION OF DC MOTOR USING PWM TECHNIQUE BASED ON LABORATORY VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING WORKBENCHPrema Kannan, Senthil Kumar Natarajan, Subhransu Sekar DashThis study details online speed regulation of DC motor using PWM technique based on LabVIEW. A fuzzy logic controller is designed to change the pulse width of switching signal applied to the converter and thereby the voltage fed to the armature of the separately excited DC motor to regulate the speed. The proposed system is connected to the server computer … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 4 Jul 2013 · 6,715 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImplementation of Fuzzy Logic Maximum Power Point Tracking Controller for Photovoltaic SystemRasoul Rahmani, Mohammadmehdi Seyedmahmoudian, Saad Mekhilef, Rubiyah YusofIn this study, simulation and hardware implementation of Fuzzy Logic (FL) Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) used in photovoltaic system with a direct control method are presented. In this control system, no proportional or integral control loop exists and an adaptive FL controller generates the control signals. The designed and integrated system is a contribution of different aspects which includes … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 5 Mar 2013 · 7,870 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThermal Control of a Greenhouse by Variation in Ventilation Rate using a Fuzzy Parallel Distributed Compensation Controller with an RST Regulator in Each RuleElyes Feki, Amine Chouchaine, Abdelkader MamiProblem statement: The greenhouse has uncontrollable inputs that affect its climate, which arises the difficulty to regulate its inside temperature. The solution can be found using a multi-system approach like the Takagi-Sugeno System from which a design of a Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) controller is performed. However, a stability problem arises and was negotiatesd in general based on a Lyapunov … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 27 Apr 2012 · 7,098 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImplementation of a Novel Control Strategy Using Fuzzy Logic Controller to Shunt Active Filter for Line Harmonic ReductionN. Senthilnathan, T. ManigandanProblem statement: Now days, power quality has been given attention due to the intensive use of power electronic equipments in all types of industries such as steel, paper, textile industries and so on.
