Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsQuality of Service Policy for IEEE 802.11 Networks with Service Rate Selection based on Fairness IndexLia Toledo Moreira Mota, Alexandre de Assis Mota, Luis Fernando FontolanProblem statement: The IEEE802.11 standard states that all stations have the same probability of accessing the network, but does not consider important parameters such as transmission rates and signal-to-noise ratios. However, these networks present an anomaly that allows a station with a low transmission rate to use the communication channel for a long time. Approach: In this context, this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,660 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Garbage Classification Using Balanced and Unbalanced Dataset with EfficientNetV2B1 ArchitectureRetinderdeep Singh, Chander Prabha, Ayman Noor et al.This research concentrates on EfficientNetV2B1 deep learning model to classify garbage collection tasks, with both balanced and unbalanced dataset configurations. The dataset includes 7,260 images for the balanced dataset and 15,515 for the unbalanced one, both of the datasets are used to train and evaluate the model. Training and evaluation of the deep learning model with the standard performance variables: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 10 · 27 Aug 2024 · 5,091 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFishing for “16 Psyche”Relly Victoria Virgil Petrescu16 Psyche is one of the most massive asteroids in the asteroid belt. This object has a diameter of over 200 km and contains about 1% of the mass of the entire asteroid belt. It is believed to be the exposed iron core of a protoplanet and is the most massive metallic M-type asteroid. It was discovered by the Italian … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 10 Sep 2020 · 8,369 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Great Deluge Algorithm with Bi-Decay Rate for Efficient Task Scheduling in Grid ComputingKaiLun Eng, Abdullah Muhammed, Sazlinah Hasan, Mohamad Afendee MohamedTo realise the utmost idea of global collaborative resource sharing with Grid computing, the fundamental scheduling process is playing a critical role. However, scheduling in Grid computing environment is a well-known NP-complete problem. In this study, we propose a new extension of Great Deluge algorithm with an effective diversification strategy for the Grid scheduling problem. The proposed approach, namely BiGD, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2019 · 7,720 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComparative Study of Packet Scheduling Algorithm in LTE NetworkAlaa Omer Najim, Nor Asilah Wati Abdul Hamid, Zurina Mohd Hanapi, Idawaty AhmadAt present, Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is the most popular Internet access technology because of its robust wireless connectivity that can support data, voice, video and messaging traffic. This advantage has significantly increased the number of users availing themselves of these services through various devices. Such an increase in the number of users has also increased network traffic. Thus, scheduling algorithms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 20 Dec 2017 · 7,822 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fast-and-Fair Collision Resolution Protocol Tailored for Ad Hoc Wireless NetworksMarcos F. Caetano, Lucas M. Guimaraes, Jacir L. BordimWireless technologies have permeated a significant number of devices over the years. On the other hand, Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols strive to deal with an increasing number of contending nodes on crowded frequency bands. This work presents an efficient medium access control resolution protocol. The proposed protocol, termed Collision Resolution Protocol (CRP), uses pulse/tone signaling that works in both … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 8 · 1 Nov 2016 · 7,140 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOPTIMIZED INCIDENT MATCHING AND AUTO-MATED VERIFICATION OF COMPOSITION PAT-TERNS IN LONG TERM COMPOSED SERVICESM. Thirumaran, M. Jannani, P. DhavachelvanWith the increase in the need and demand for evolving Web services, the rate at which changes are made to the services has increased. In case of importunate change requests, there arise critical situations where the business analysts are subjected to make changes by themselves without the aid of the developers because of the time and cost factors. However, there … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 12 May 2014 · 6,641 accessesView PDFCite
