Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleComparative Study on Energy Efficient in Traveling Wave Pulse Coupled Oscillator for Wireless Sensor NetworksZeyad Ghaleb Al-Mekhlafi, Zurina Mohd Hanapi, Mohamed Othman, Zuriati Ahmad ZukarnainWSNs are unable to afford simultaneous transmission and reception of data and for most scenarios, the battery replacement is impossible upon the exhaustion of a node's battery energy. Thus, energy efficient protocols constitute vital design requirements for the WSN as a whole in order to increase the lifetime and ensure successful transmission of data from sensor node source to target, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 11 · 21 Nov 2016 · 7,355 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSENSOR NETWORK PERIODICAL DATA ASSEMBLY USING IMBALANCED CLUSTERING ENERGY EFFICIENT MECHANISMK. Munusamy, R. M.S. ParvathiFast technical advances and development in wireless communication resulted in the huge consumption of wireless sensor networks. The nodes in these networks are ready to be sensed, processing the data and transmitting radio units. While several research works have been conducted related to the power-aware and energy-efficiency using Cooperative Networking protocol (CONET) that reforms clusters but the multiple rate remains … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 28 Jun 2014 · 6,648 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleENERGY EFFICIENT NETWORK SELECTION USING 802.16G BASED GSM TECHNOLOGYH. Anandakumar, K. UmamaheswariHandover is the mechanism that transfers information from one terminal to another as a user moves through the coverage area of a cellular system. Here the Network selection is the handover decision process between various network environments. This handover decision will be either mobile or network initiated. In 2G GSM handover decision method especially concentrates on Received frequency signals (RFS). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 31 Dec 2013 · 7,076 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDynamic Weighting Technique Based Arctic Puffin Optimization for Energy Efficient Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Bharathraj Kumar, S. Avinash, Prakash G. Gani, Prathapchandra ShettyWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are designed using various sensor nodes, which are employed for communication in diverse applications that include healthcare, industrial areas, and smart cities. Specifically, WSNs demand energy-efficient clustering and routing mechanisms that assist in extending network lifetime due to the limited battery capacity of sensor nodes. However, many existing meta-heuristic-based approaches incorporate fixed objective weights that struggle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 10 Sep 2026 · 767 accessesView PDFCite

EditorialOpen accessPhrase in the titleRECENT TRENDS AND CHALLENGES OF ENERGY EFFICIENT AND SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGSChiara BedonAccording to several studies (e.g., the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2014), the US Energy Information Administration (US EIA, 2014), warming of the climate system is unequivocal and mainly derives from greenhouse gas emissions due to human activities. Global Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions from fossil fuels, for example, are estimated to be 29% higher in 2035 than they were … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 11 Sep 2014 · 8,497 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFFA-CONTEXT AWARE ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING USING FAST REACTIVE AND ADAPTIVE ALGORITHMP. Kavitha Rani, E. KannanA vital issue of routing is how to efficiently strengthen energy consumption of the whole network and to avoid the energy-hole which leads to node failure or node death; this scenario makes the network to work improperly and leads to network death, Here we proves our hypothesis with linearity between routing and linear principles. Our proposed work effectively utilizes the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 26 Dec 2013 · 6,617 accessesView PDFCite
