Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDistributed Mutual Exclusion Based on Causal OrderingMohamed Naimi, Ousmane ThiareProblem statement: Causality among events, more formally the causal ordering relation, is a powerful tool for analyzing and drawing inferences about distributed systems. The knowledge of the causal ordering relation between processes helps designers and the system itself solve a variety of problems in distributed systems. In distributed algorithms design, such knowledge helped ensure fairness and liveness in distributed algorithms, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 5 · 30 May 2009 · 6,751 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Dynamic Resource Synchronizer Mutual Exclusion Algorithm for Wired/Wireless Distributed SystemsAhmed Sharieh, Mariam Itriq, Wafa DbabatA mobile host has small memory, relatively slow processor, low power batteries, and communicate over low bandwidth wireless communication links. Existing mutual exclusion algorithms for distributed systems are not enough for mobile systems because of several limitations. In this study, a mutual exclusion algorithm that is more suitable for mobile computer systems is developed. The algorithm tends to minimize the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2008 · 7,163 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Token-Based Fair Algorithm for Group Mutual Exclusion in Distributed SystemsAbhishek Swaroop, Awadhesh Kumar SinghThe group mutual exclusion (GME) problem is a generalization of the mutual exclusion problem. In group mutual exclusion, a process requests a session before entering its critical section (CS). Processes requesting the same session are allowed to be in their CS simultaneously, however, processes requesting different sessions must execute their CS in mutually exclusive way. The paper presents a token-based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2007 · 7,100 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTowards an Exclusion Mutual Tolerant Algorithm to FailuresM. Senouci, A. Liazid, D. BenhamamouchThe distributed algorithmic is widely used in various economic and industrial fields as finance, medical, industry, telecommunication. New technologies are increasing rapidly. From now on, applications must associate two conditions: auto-execution on heterogeneous grid computers, on the one hand and on the other hand, satisfaction of the temporal and safety constraints. Hence this paper deals with performing an algorithm based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2007 · 6,730 accessesView PDF Cite
