Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDistributed Clusterhead Architecture for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksEmad Qaddoura, Wesam AlMobaideen, Ahmad OmariMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,809 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEnergy Aware Multiple Constraints Quality of Service Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksSenthilkumar Maruthamuthu, Somasundaram SankaralingamProblem statement: This study presents a source based reactive protocol called "Energy Aware Multiple Constraints QoS Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction (EMQRPDM)" for MANET. It is an enhanced version of our previous protocol called "Power aware multiple QoS constraints routing protocol with mobility prediction (PMQRPMP)". It addresses the issues such as routing, mobility and power management in MANET. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,482 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSolving Traffic Routing System using VANet Strategy Combined with a Distributed Swarm Intelligence OptimizationElgarej Mouhcine, Khalifa Mansouri, Youssfi MohamedProposing an efficient strategy to reduce traffic congestion is an essential step towards improvement as we take into consideration the unpredictable and dynamic infrastructure of the road network. With the advances in computing technologies and communications protocols, we can retrieve any type of data and receive in real-time the state of traffic congestion at each road using Electronic Toll Collection … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 11 · 12 Nov 2018 · 7,597 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Q-Routing Protocol Using Self-Aware Approach for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksAmal Alharbi, Abdullah Al-Dhalaan, Miznah Al-RodhaanMobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are self-organized networks that are characterized by dynamic topologies in time and space. This creates an instable environment, where classical routing approaches cannot achieve high performance. Thus, adaptive routing is necessary to handle the challenges in MANETs. Furthermore, it is necessary for nodes to be self-aware i.e., able to discover neighbors, links and paths when … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 12 · 7 Dec 2015 · 6,468 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Proactive Routing Method for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksBambrik Ilyas, Didi FedouaIn recent years, the Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) became more popular due to their multiple advantages such as the low setup cost, auto-configuration and auto-healing features. This kind of network is distinguished by its dynamic and distributed nature since it does not contain any form of centralized infrastructure. These characteristics have led to the emergence of new routing protocols … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 23 Jul 2015 · 6,381 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractINTRUSION DETECTION IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORK USING SECURE ROUTING FOR ATTACKER IDENTIFICATION PROTOCOLS. Gopalakrishnan, P. GaneshkumarIn past few decades, the migration of communication takes place from wired networks to wireless networks because of its mobility and scalability and Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a unique and significant application in recent years which does not necessitates any pre-existing network infrastructure. Each node can act as both transmitters as well as receivers that are communicating with … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 8 · 29 May 2014 · 6,722 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecured Routing with Authentication in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksT. Guru Baskar, D. ManimegalaiA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a temporary network without any fixed infrastructure. Each node participates in the ad hoc routing protocol that helps it to discover multi-hop paths through the network to any node. Security challenges have become a primary concern for these networks due to their characteristics such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 9 May 2013 · 6,070 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Policy Based Scheme for Combined Data Security in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksL. Kartheesn, S. K. SrivatsaProblem statement: In Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) routing protocols, we require a network-level or link layer security. Since without appropriate security provisions, the MANETs is subjected to attacks like network traffic, replay transmissions, manipulate packet headers and redirect routing messages. In order to address these needs, a policy based network management system that provides the capability to express network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 6 Aug 2012 · 6,725 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobile Ad Hoc Network Security for Reactive Routing Protocol with Node Reputation SchemeA. Suresh, Dr. K. DuraiswamyThe mobile node’s reputation in the Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) identifies its trust worthiness for secured multiple data communication. Unknown nature of the node’s communication status for initial period has great impact in the effective data transfer as MANET is self-organized and distributed. Problem statement: The functional operation of the mobile network relies on the trusty cooperation between the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,992 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAd Hoc Mobile Wireless Networks Routing Protocols - A ReviewGeetha Jayakumar, G. GopinathMobile ad hoc networks(MANET) represent complex distributed systems that comprise wireless mobile nodes that can freely and dynamically self organize into arbitrary and temporary ad-hoc network topologies, allowing people and devices to seamlessly internet work in areas with no preexisting communication infrastructure e.g., disaster recovery environments. An ad-hoc network is not a new one, having been around in various forms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2007 · 115,285 accessesView PDFCite
