Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleWeight of Evidence Allocates Mineral Depositional ZonesAbdullah A. Bokhari, Guang Dao HU, Rani FouadProblem statement: Yunnan province in general and Pulang area in particular is geological rich area which prevents field study in multi locations due to high risk outcrop. Approach: New technology such as Geographic Information System (GIS) and an ArcView extension module Arcweight of evidence (WofE) became very handy to provide safety for researchers and allow organization to control their budget. … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 6 · 31 Dec 2010 · 6,981 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHeterogeneities and Intra Sand-Body Compartmentalization in Late Oligocene Delta-Front Deposit, Niger Delta, NigeriaRaphael Oaikhena Oyanyan, Michael Ndubuisi OtiThis paper presents the study of the heterogeneity in lithofacies, porosity, permeability, mineral grain density, pore-throats sizes and hydraulic rock types and the intra sand-body compartmentalization in cored delta-front deposit of Greater Ughelli depobelt of Niger Delta. Sedimentological study of core samples results in the identification of nine lithofacies and the interpretation of environments of deposition as mainly proximal and … …Current Research in Geoscience, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 28 Mar 2016 · 8,090 accessesView PDFCite
