Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsKnowledge Based System for Visual Computing of Depth in 2D Images of Geometric Objects Like Straight Lines, Planes and Solids and their Applications in Engineering GraphicsM. Narayana Rao, V. VaithyaNathanAn attempt was made in this study, to develop a ”Knowledge Based System” for i)computing the depth (or the third dimension) of 3D objects, ii) computing the inclinations of 2D planes with predefined reference planes and iii) computing the inclinations of a straight line with predefined reference planes. The development of the proposed “Knowledge Based System” was based on the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,204 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMethodology for Selecting the Locaiton of an Optimum Viewing Point for an Ideal 3D Perspective View of a Given 3D EnvironmentN. Sandya Rani, V. VaithyaNathanLiterature review reveals that there exists, many methods for 3D visualization of a given object or a set of objects[1,2]. To name a few commonly used methods, we have Stereoscopic 3D visualization[3], Cross eye visualization, Parallel eye visualization, Perspective 3D visualization etc. An optimu location of the viewing point for an ideal 3D perspective view is attempted in this paper. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,525 accessesView PDF Cite
