Govardhan, M. BalrajuProblem statement: The general and medical images in specific contain different regions holding information of different significances. To elaborate medical information, the doctor prefers to focus on certain selected region (s) of interest. So for medical images the diagnostically important regions must be preserved at high quality, whereas the rest of the image is required only in a contextual sense. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 23 Oct 2010 · 7,380 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFeatures Extraction Based on Linear Regression TechniqueKhalid W. MagldProblem statement: The matching problem of complex objects is one of the most difficult task in the pattern recognition field. These problems are made difficult by seemingly infinite varieties of shapes and classes which are used. The difficulties are related to absolute shape measurement, given the impossibility of directly mapping shapes, as such, into a feature space. Approach: In this … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 25 Feb 2012 · 7,050 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Efficient Ant Algorithm for Swarm-Based Image ClusteringSalima Ouadfel, Mohamed BatoucheA collective approach to resolve the segmentation problem was proposed. AntClust is a new ant-based algorithm that uses the self-organizing and autonomous brood sorting behavior observed in real ants. Ants and pixels are scatted on a discrete array of cells represented the ants’ environment. Using simple local rules and without any central control, ants form homogeneous clusters by moving pixels … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 7,155 accessesView PDF Cite
