Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Efficient Causal Protocol with Forward Error Correction for Mobile Distributed SystemsEduardo Lopez Dominguez, Saul E. Pomares Hernandez, Gustavo Rodriguez Gomez et al.Problem statement: Causal ordering is used in Mobile Distributed Systems (MDS) to reduce the non-determinism induced by four main aspects: host mobility, asynchronous execution, unpredictable communication delays and unreliable communication channels. Some causal protocols have been proposed for MDS. All of these protocols in order to ensure the causal order in unreliable channels use the method of Automatic Repeat Request … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 8,239 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluation of Subset Matching Methods: Evidence from a Monte Carlo Simulation StudyLateef Amusa, Temesgen Zewotir, Delia NorthIn the absence or infeasibility of experiments, matching methods have increasingly been used in making causal claims using observational data. This paper conducts a Monte Carlo simulation study, based on a household panel survey, to compare the performance of some widely used subset matching methods. The methods include the propensity score caliper matching, Mahalanobis distance matching, and coarsened exact matching. … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 3 · 11 Apr 2019 · 7,740 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSpatial-Temporal Yield Trend of Oil Palm as Influenced by Nitrogen Fertilizer ManagementAbdul Rahim Anuar, Kah Joh Goh, Tee Bee Heoh, Osumanu Haruna AhmedOne of the major challenges in oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) plantations today is proper interpretation of yield maps for site-specific management and identification and understanding of the causal factors influencing the variability of oil palm yields. A study was conducted to examine the structural yield variation in order to assess the spatial and temporal yield trends so as to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 7,549 accessesView PDF Cite
