Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEnhanced RSACRT for Energy Efficient Authentication to Wireless Sensor Networks SecurityP. Kalyani, C. ChellappanProblem statement: The Security in WSN has become a challenge because of its inherent limitations of resources imposed on the sensor nodes. Authentication and key management scheme allows WSNs to be used with confidence and maintains integrity of data in sensor networks. Approach: In the WSN limited resource scenario the generation of public key done and are randomly pre distributed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 18 Aug 2012 · 7,339 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSecure Authentication Technique for Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworksV. Bhoopathy, R. M.S. ParvathiProblem statement: In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), serious security threat is caused by node capture attacks where an adversary gains full control over a sensor node through direct physical access. Approach: This creates a high risk of data confidentiality. Results: We propose a secure authentication technique for data aggregation in WSN. During first round of data aggregation, the aggregator upon … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 24 Jan 2012 · 7,286 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSECRET HANDSHAKE ISSUE AND VALIDATE AUTHORITY BASED AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKKamalanaban Ethala, R. Seshadri, N. G. Renganathan, M. S. SaravananWireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are major research area in the past few decades. WSN is formed by collection of sensor nodes. Power source life and memory size limit the hardware sources and these will decide the lifesapn of sensor nodes in WSN. Therefore, many resources based research issues are evolved in WSN. This study focused security issue and proposed authentication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,429 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDevelopment of an Energy-Efficient, Secure and Reliable Wireless Sensor Networks Routing Protocol Based on Data Aggregation and User AuthenticationA. Gopi Saminathan, S. KarthikData aggregation protocols are required in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) to improve the data accuracy and extend the network lifetime by reducing the energy consumption. The existing Data Aggregation-Optimal LEACH (DAO-LEACH) protocol for WSN is enhanced in terms of security and fault-tolerance based on Gracefully Degraded Data Aggregation (GDDA) to ensure the integrity of the aggregated data and Hybrid Layer … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,855 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Survey of Intrusion Detection Schemes in Wireless Sensor NetworksMurad A. Rassam, M. A. Maarof, Anazida ZainalWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are currently used in many application areas including military applications, health related applications, control and tracking applications and environment and habitat monitoring applications. The harsh and unattended deployment of these networks along with their resource restrictions makes their security issue very important. Prevention-based security approaches like cryptography, authentication and key management have been used to protect … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 17 Aug 2012 · 8,733 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAuthenticated Broadcast in Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks using Chinese Remainder Theorem AlgorithmKalyani Palanisamy, ChellappanProblem statement: The security in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a critical issue due to the inherent limitations of computational capacity, storage capacity and power usage. Key management only makes sure the communicating nodes possess the necessary keys, at the same time protecting the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of the communicated data. Approach: Proposed a RSA-CRT methodology for authenticated broadcast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,413 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEFFICIENT KEY MANAGEMENT AND AUTHENTICATION SCHEME FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKST. Lalitha, R. Saravana Kumar, R. HamsaveniWireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is vulnerable to node capture attacks in which an attacker can capture one or more sensor nodes and reveal all stored security information which enables him to compromise a part of the WSN communications. Due to large number of sensor nodes and lack of information about deployment and hardware capabilities of sensor node, key management in … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 6 · 10 Apr 2014 · 6,981 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEnergy Constrained Secure Hierarchical Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworksV. Bhoopathy, R. M.S. ParvathiProblem statement: Wireless sensor networks, brings out variety of different challenges at energy level, integrity, authentication, communication cost. Approach: In the secure data aggregation techniques, reduction in the energy consumption was not elaborated in detail, since aggregator means of connection to sink was either direct or through other aggregators which need high energy level. Results: We suggest an Energy Constrained … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 16 Mar 2012 · 7,377 accessesView PDF Cite
