Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Ergonomics Study on Assembly Line Workstation DesignBaba Md Deros, Nor Kamaliana Khamis, Ahmad Rasdan Ismail et al.Problem statement: High demand for products in the manufacturing industry had driven the human workers to work faster and adapt to their un-ergonomically designed workstation. Some tasks at assembly workstations require human workers to stand for a prolonged period of time to assemble the products. Approach: This study was conducted at an automotive component manufacturer. Twenty full time workers working … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 8 Oct 2011 · 9,992 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimization of Clustering Time by a Group of Autonomous Robots Making Use of an Exclusive Multi-MarkingMohamed Rida Abdessemed, Kamel Khoualdi, Azeddine BilamiProblem statement: For solving complex issues, the current tendency goes towards the swarms behaviors, realized on a basis of collective interactions, which results from a cooperative work favoring exchanges between individuals of a same group at microscopic level and allowing the emergence of complex collective behaviors at macroscopic level. Many models were inspired by these attitudes to find simple rules, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 9 Nov 2010 · 6,890 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractContour Following Task with Dual Sensor Logic Algorithm for Adept Selective Compliant Assembly Robot Arm RobotAnton Satria Prabuwono, Samsi Md. Said, Riza Sulaiman, Elankovan SundararajanProblem statement: The capability of performing autonomously a contour following task of a shape object is required for an industrial robot manipulator. These tasks include welding, sealing, grinding, painting and many more. These applications are very tedious and time consuming if done by manual contour following system. Approach: This study proposed the development of dual sensor logic algorithm for contour … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 8 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,749 accessesView PDF Cite
