Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAN EFFICIENT AUTONOMOUS KEY MANAGEMENT WITH REDUCED COMMUNICATION/COMPUTATION COSTS IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKM. Devi, S. Chenthur PandianA primary concern in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) is security. Secret sharing is an effective way to distribute a secret among n parties, where each party holds one piece of the secret. A number of key management schemes have been proposed for MANETs. However the secret sharing to control key hierarchy needs larger message transmission costs in many techniques. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,783 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsFuzzy Based Secure Data Aggregation Technique in Wireless Sensor NetworksD. HevinRajesh, B. ParamasivanProblem statement: Secure data aggregation is a challenging task in wireless sensor network due to the facts like more complexity, greater overhead in the case of cryptographic techniques. These issues need to be overcome using efficient technique. Approach: We propose a fuzzy based secure data aggregation technique which was having 3 phases. In its first phase, it performs clustering and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 17 Mar 2012 · 7,257 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA REFINEMENT OF DIJKSTRA'S ALGORITHM FOR EXTRACTION OF SHORTEST PATHS IN GENERALIZED REAL TIME-MULTIGRAPHSSiddhartha Sankar Biswas, Bashir Alam, M. N. DojaThe networks of the present day communication systems, be it a public road transportation system or a MANET or an Adhoc Network, frequently face a lot of uncertainties in particular regarding traffic jam, flood or water logging or PWD maintenance work (in case of public road network), attack or damage from internal or external agents, sudden failure of one or … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 14 Dec 2013 · 7,266 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEffect of Clustering in Designing a Fuzzy Based Hybrid Intrusion Detection System for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksD. Vydeki, R. S. BhuvaneswaranIntrusion Detection System (IDS) provides additional security for the most vulnerable Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET). Use of Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) in the design of IDS is proven to be efficient in detecting routing attacks in MANETs. Clustering is a vital means in the detection process of FIS based hybrid IDS. This study describes the design of such a system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 14 May 2013 · 6,473 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Velocity Biased-Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector to Improve Throughput in Dynamic Mobile NetworkK. Tamizarasu, M. RajaramProblem statement: With the escalating demand for mobile ad hoc network projects, major challenges to system planners and designers were addressing stability and reliability problems due to frequent change of network topology. Controlling an overhead, which means bandwidth utilization due to control packets, depends on the routing protocol, topology and data traffic. Limiting the network control overheads, of this highly … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 21 Nov 2011 · 7,061 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fault Tolerant Mobile Agent Information Retrieval SystemR. Punithavathi, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Most of the information retrieval systems used only client-server architectures. The client-server model though powerful, had some limitations. In mobile computing environment which has both wired network and wireless networks with limited communication capabilities, the performance of the system was very low. Approach: Mobile agents are considered a suitable technology to develop applications such as information retrieval system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,205 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecure Antnet Routing Algorithm for Scalable Adhoc Networks Using Elliptic Curve CryptographyV. Vijayalakshmi, T. G. PalaniveluThe secure end-to-end route discovery in the decentralized Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) should have to meet the requirements of prevention of DoS attacks on data traffic, should be adaptive and fault tolerant and must have high speed, low energy overhead and scalability for future development. In this research a secure routing using antnet mechanism and mutual authentication using Elliptic Curve … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,959 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractGenetic Algorithm and Tabu Search Attack on the Mono-Alphabetic Substitution Cipher in Adhoc NetworksA. K. Verma, Mayank Dave, R. C. JoshiWith exponential growth of networked system and application such as e-Commerce, the demand for effective Internet security is increasing. Cryptology is the science and study of systems for secret communication. In consists of two complementary fields of study: cryptography and cryptanalysis. This study presents a cryptanalysis method based on Genetic Algorithm and Tabu Search to break a Mono-Alphabetic Substitution Cipher … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 7,257 accessesView PDFCite
